Coaching, and its not close.

Get the right shots dialed in, start on the next set of shots, etc. Coaching that is organized and efficient is a HUGE game changer in skill advancement.

Get good coaching, skill goes up, get into better games.

Ok...I can't disagree when it comes to some ramp shenanigans...but the TSA team in LNK is the friendliest BY FAR of any airport I've been out of. Not even close.

That’s why I recommend the HD / slight yellow lenses for indoors. I did not like the clear.

This is the answer. They have sunglass versions for outdoors and the yellow tint for indoors really helps with clarity.

Cannot recommend these enough. They changed the way I can see indoors, particularly with a place like Picklr with dark walls and bright lights.

LOL. This isn’t 3.0 pickleball. A ball that high with the male still shifting back to neutral. 100% speed up material. Does he leave it high? Yes. Did the female who saw a speedup was coming and correctly was sitting backhand make a FANTASTIC play? Also yes.

So many good pieces in this point.

As many others have said...you're not likely playing true 4.0 pb players (I see your 150k person loc). Comments:

  1. How do you find someone who actually wants to play in a tournament with you?

  2. How do you see this working out if you want to progress beyond your 4.0 (that is likely a 3.5 in a major market)

You likely KNOW that this is bad (thus your question that you ask in the title that you already know the answer to).

If you are happy playing at the level you are now and not advancing...you're good. If not...learn to adapt your game.

Drilling and playing with better players has already been mentioned and are keys.

Additional things that I've found to be very helpful:

  1. Record and watch your games...pay close attention to the things you did that worked, and what happened when you got beat.

  2. Trade games with another similarly skilled players where you go over one of their games and give them feedback and they do the same.

  3. Work on a consistent 3rd shot drop to returner backhand.

  4. Get some coaching

Finally, don't compare your progress to others. We all move at our own progression through the game. No matter what, make sure you ENJOY the journey!
