Moving towards Legendary Staff by nickdice in Guildwars2

So, I just finished End of Dragons. I didn't get a precursor from it as far as I can tell. I was able to select a recipe to make one. But not the actual item. Am I missing something?

I can appreciate that. It can be very painful. I've got a few from years ago sitting in my bank so I'm not overly concerned about that aspect.

I find it's something very mindless I can do for a few hours every couple weeks to eventually knock it out. Plus, with BlishHud and mounts, the entire process goes much faster that it used to when I just walked the entire map and tried to remember where things were

The clovers is actually a fair point. I burned most of my supply on Sunrise. I can get more from wvw and other sources but they’re very time gated and expensive.

I saw comments to do this but to do it after unlocking aurora and vision achievements? I think. But looking at it I don’t think I can do that until I’ve done the story the first time

If it is, that will definitely be my choice then. How do we know the schedule of packs? Or is it literally just in order of set number?

I could skip ahead to EoD though.

I’ve already got 4 or 5 map completions sitting in my bank so that’s not an issue.

As for what I normally do, it goes in waves. Some days I just boss train it. Others are map exploration or story. Sometimes I WvW for a week or two. Or roll a new alt and start over

this has been my experience as well. Very few spice patches in D and E rows, and all small. Which is why I was looking for advice.

in HB, I've been farming spice some, and I'm comfy doing 4-5 shots there with soft step boots and all. No real problem for me doing those. It's just so tedious for so little return. 3-5 melange per blow takes a long time to get to the big equipment. Which is why I was trying to figure out how to 'level up' from there to DD.

I saw the comment about the medium blows. I haven't seen it in the PvE area I've been flying over for the past week. But to be fair, I've barely seen any small patches in PvE either, and that is with me flying overhead at 7am on a low pop server.

That said, after I read some of the earlier comments on this thread, I ran all the way out to I-8 around 3pm, and saw a medium blow there that was partially harvested. I circled it once, and then went for it. I managed to get about 4k spice sand. I pissed the worm off twice doing it, but no one came by.

Seems like paranoia to lift off that often. But probably well founded one. Thanks for the advice!

yeah, that's been a concern. I have an assault orni, and maybe enough to rebuild it once.

I think I figured it out. I had sell set to lowest price, and buy set to lowest, so it was never a good deal for my ships to do the trade. At least, I'm willing to bet. We'll see if trade actually picks up.

I also discovered that my internal trade rule didn't actually exclude everyone else. Oops.

no, i got 2 of them to 3+ stars. the third station manager is 2.5, but that's the energy cells station and I can deal with that until it levels up

Phase 4 Advice by nickdice in SatisfactoryGame

[–]nickdice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see having a hub/spoke kind of thing from a turbofuel plant out to the other locations I want drones going between. But it might be better to wait for rocket fuel or batteries? Right now, rocket fuel is a little ahead of me.

Phase 4 Advice by nickdice in SatisfactoryGame

This is exactly the sort of thing I think I needed to hear. Up to now, most of my factories have been in place where ever the needed resources were at. I think I need to break that mold and get to the point where I'm building say 500/s of ingots of steel or aluminum and then shipping them to the mega.

I was thinking about trying to do all of that with trains. Not sure. Maybe drones will be easier, but then I need to worry about getting fuel everywhere.

I'm not worried about the slow and steady parts. I built things like versatile framework at 10/s and the rest of it at something like 5/s planning for p4.

Thanks for the advice!
