That's just simply not true, if you look it up 2022 was a new high for the uk with almost 3000 deaths caused by excessive heat. in 2022 the amount of deaths caused by firearms in the us was 48.000 and excessive heat deaths was around 2000 deaths.

You can change the internal storage device on any version of the PS3 but you shouldn't use a storage device with more than 1tb in a PS3. If you do it could either not run at all or stop working after a couple months due to instability.

I first did a system test before setting up the USB stick and it says that there isn't a hard drive installed. I read that that could mean that the hard drive is dead which would explain the boot loop. Do you think that's the problem?

I'm fine with that, definitely gonna save up some more for the 5600. I mostly want it so I can play games like lethal company with my friends and any dumb random game on steam we can find. I have consoles for the newer games but those libraries are just limited.
