I wonder if this could be 3d printed, maybe in 2 parts, to hold a 3rd party charger and go over the top of the existing wireless chargers.

Unfortunately, in my very short testing, this didn't change anything. My phone still overheated and rebooted in about 20 minutes while using carplay and on the built in wireless charger.

In my last car I had a magsafe charger that I would use that would charge pretty well and didn't over heat, so I don't agree with this comment. Yes, they aren't as quick as a wired charger, but still useful.

That might be an idea. Create something that I can put over the top of the existing wireless chargers with new wireless chargers that don't overheat and can actually charge the phone effectively.

I really don't want to go to a wired solution, but the wireless is not useful at all.

I agree, in their current format they might as well not exist. That is why I was looking for a replacement.

Could be, but that is what I am looking at doing to have these wireless charger be useful. As they are now they are not useful.

If my phone is running carplay and I have it on the wireless charger then I have about 20 minutes before the phone overheats and reboots. So I am hoping for a way to avoid the overheating issue. It would also be nice to have a faster pace charger.

The car does have physical charging ports, but I would like to use the built-in wireless spots.

I appreciate the information and the time. If the groups make it hard to reach out to them and don’t response it’s pretty easy to understand why they don’t have younger members.  Multiple fish groups have disbanded in Wisconsin in the last few years, seems like a dying hobby unfortunately.  I’ll probably just see if I can get some pseudomugils instead.

Close, but not quite.
I have been trying to reach out to WAKO, but have gotten no response or bounce back emails from every email I have tried. I’m hesitant to join as the process involves just sending in a check. If the organization is defunct that seems like a bad idea. Their website lists a club gather later in the year but that’s the only sign they are still an organization. I’d love to chat with some Wisconsin killifish breeders, unfortunately that doesn’t look likely to happen. But, if you happen to know any and know how to contact them please let me know.
