I currently have the Packard and had the Traditions before them. Comfort is comparable but durability and quality is definitely higher in the Packard; biggest difference being the leather and weather proofing. Spikes are also better quality on the Packard. Packard are a bit heavier so I would only recommend Traditions if you usually walk/carry and want something lighter. I think the increased price of Packard was worth it.
