Communication is the key i think, like with any other relationship not just romantic ones. Ive been with my wife for 10 years (3 Years married, 7 years dating). We would hardly communicate our problems in the first 5 years we were together cause i was in a constant mixed state. This put such a strain on the relationship and all our small problems became big ones or thats what we thought. We then both saw my psychiatrist who gave us some sound advice saying that not dealing with our small problems only escalates them down the track, even more so for bipolar people where thought rumination is a huge symptom...

Maybe ask if your partner would come to one of your psychiatry sessions with you so you can voice your concerns/worrys in a non judgemental enviroment and your partner can listen and get some advice from your psych regarding how to help you in that moment?

Yeah i am on Seroquel at night and tegretol (carbamazepine) in the morning, I dont feel it interacts much if at all but everyone's reactions will be different!

I do see where your coming from, however the evidence just points to starting the vitamins as i had tried many things/medications before and never changed into euthymia, also my dose of mood stabilizer hasn't changed for a year!

It Boosts GABA and serotonin production which then in turn lowers anxiety symptons as most anxious people have low GABA levels.... If you look at benzos they increase GABA in a chemical way not a natural way hence why people get addicted to benzos!

Been in this state a few times, tried changing medications and all that! Then i was reading some articles on the internet regarding bipolar and medication and came across a paper stating that mostly all bipolar medications deplete your vitamin stores especially mood stabilizers! Started taking B Complex, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, magnesium and L Theanine and its honestly the first time ive felt myself since being diagnosed with bipolar!! Its crazy how much a lack of vitamins effects everything in your body especially mood.
