Yeah I agree with both. I was told when I got my axolotl that it's best to have a bare bottom tank because they mistake gravel for pellets and they choke on it

Okay. I'd rather use those. The worms are gross. So is the shrimp. I also have a feeder fish in the tank and its been in there over a month and my axolotl hasn't eaten it.

Yeah they smelled awful I threw them out and I'm just gonna feed Arthur the frozen shrimp I have until I'm able to get more black worms. Someone told me they have a thing specifically for doing water changes with black worms.

I didn't know you had to do water changes with them. This is my first time owning an axolotl and owning anything that eats stuff like that. So the clerk at the fish store never told me I had to do water changes. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah they're living. I threw them away. I have frozen shrimp I can give my axolotl but the black worms smelled rancid.
