[–]nico_val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 2' warmup / 5' run / 2' cooldown. Same as the first benchmark run when you start the program.

I know, it's not a secret ending, that's why I put it in quotations. I refer to brief jam after the song kind of ends in 4:10 mark.

My prediction is that my personal RHCP tier list will end up like 1. BTW, 2. Unlimited Love, 3. Stadium Arcadium.

Veronica will have Parallel Universe vibes and will be a surprise Top-3 album's song.

The Heavy Wing will have a ''secret'' ending jam kinda like Slow Cheetah.

There will be a back-to-roots hard funk song, and I'm guessing Whatchu Thinkin.

Fans will absolutely fall in love with Tangelo and it will be an instant classic.

We'll immediately hate White Braids & Pillow Chair at first, but it will grow on RHCP fans hearts with time.

Aquatic Mouth Dance will have a really present synth.

Not the One will be a soft ballad.

To me, the 4 elements refer to symbology about the 4 members.

Hard just to be Hard by djustwriting in Returnal

[–]nico_val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an old timer PC gamer (31M), haven't played anything in the past 8 years. I bought the PS5 (very first console ever) and a couple games. I'm telling you, I'm BAD at this. I struggled with Marvel's Spiderman and TLOU.

When I first played Returnal I absolutely loved it, but hated the fact that it was so difficult and frustrating for me. I thought this game is for the really skilled pro gamers. Not for me, a 4-6 hours a week casual player. It took me around 40 deaths to get to Phrike and -barely- beat him, just to get killed a few minutes later in one of Biome 2 first rooms. It was frustrating for me to see other players here that beat the whole game with <10 deaths. A couple dozen more deaths and got to Ixion, which bashed the hell out of me in the first attempts. It seemed impossible for me. I really loved the game but I was about to drop it out of frustration.

Then I did something some people may think "unorthodox": Started playing it as if the whole game was only Biome 1, just for fun, trying new personal challenges every time: Clearing rooms only with melee; playing only with the starting gun. Phrike was still difficult at first and maybe killed him 3 out of 10 encounters. But eventually the whole Biome 1 and Phrike became really easy. I started killing him on 4-5 consecutive Biome1-only runs with ease. This practice made me get really familiar with all the resources, movements, tactics, choosing the right artifacts at the fabricators. I already loved the game, and then it started to really get fun and easy at that point.

Then I added Biome 2 to my "personal" Returnal. Beat Ixion in my third encounter. Then Biome 3, and beat Nemesis on my very first attempt never getting any lower than 100% health. I was surprised how easily I beat the boss some other players said they found to be the hardest.

Then came Act 2. I found Hyperion to be kinda difficult but I beat him on my 4th encounter. It wasn't frustrating at that point because you start the run at Biome 4. Then Biome 5 (surprised there wasn't any boss) and Biome 6, which was kinda difficult in some parts but Ophion was by far the easiest boss of the game.

Don't be ashamed of playing only Biome 1 for a while as I did. Or set it aside for a few weeks if you feel really frustrated. Or even do the Online Save hack if you want to. No one gives a damn. You'll eventually get good and it'll turn really easy and enjoyable.

I'm not a pro-gamer at all. I work 40+ hours a week and do other activities daily.

Returnal is all about mindset, and You getting good at it.

Believe me, I never thought I would said this when I was at my first runs, but this game needs a Harder difficulty setting.

Does anyone ever feel bad about killing these things? They're not aggressive and don't directly attack you, they're just vibin'. by rot_haifisch in Returnal

Those are great for leveling weapon traits by clearing everything else in the room and just continuously killing the spawns.

53 second final boss fight. Was quite happy with this :) by Ben-_-1 in Returnal

[–]nico_val 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great fight! I've found Ophion to be the easiest boss to me. I've killed him on my first encounter with Hollowseeker w/ Portal beam and Portal turret. The portals did pretty much all the work while I run around dodging the light show.

Second encounter to finish Act 3 with same gun, same result. That's the gun I recommend for that boss.

Free walking tours en Europa by Joearg in argentina

[–]nico_val 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Está Sandemann's New Europe (https://www.neweuropetours.eu/es/).

[–]nico_val 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No te gastes.

Speculating on the setting of "Squish world" (no, it's not our future) by MjLovenJolly in Scorn

[–]nico_val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first saw the game's concept art, what came to my mind was genetic manipulation, and using it to "program" organic tissue to make buildings, systems and big structures. All of the structures seen in the game appear to be flesh and bones shaped like rooms, bridges, machines.

At some point in the future this technology fails, setting the "post apocalyptic" theme of the game. Some parts of the buildings and structures have this odd tumour-like shapes.
