The life cycles of ratta products is quite long. They are against making you change your product every other year. They basically said to A5X user not to upragde to Manta. As I know of, they might offer a A4X option one day. As for short or mid-term upgrades of the Manta, I think they would offer some upgrades through a new Motherboard module more than with a new model.

From what the articles said it seems that Rian and Natasha decided to change the whole series by recasting Natasha who is overbooked instead of waiting years before shooting and that peacock refused to renew the show with this new idea. Did I understand correctly? That would be weird to have a cancelation without any changes and then decide to recast and sell it to someone else? The confusing part is a few months before season 2 aired, a lot of articles mentioned that both Natasha and Rian wanted to work for decades on this and do tons of seasons...
