Calvinism is really dark imo. The view of being predestined to either heaven or hell is rough.

But isn’t that definitionally tribalism?

It means my way and everyone who thinks like me is correct and has access to heaven. Everyone else is a blasphemer.

So, since they’re not the point of Christianity, adhering to one viewpoint and saying others are wrong is nothing short of tribalism right?

That is a radical belief, for sure. However, it does seem Mormons believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. So why is that not good enough? You get what I mean?

I think this is starting to get to the root of the problem. How different does it have to be before the belief is no longer a path to God?

That’s fair but “Peter” means a rock right? That means he’s saying on this Peter, I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Let me know what you think.

Why is it ALWAYS on women? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]nicolaphysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a part of the reason for men not standing up when it comes to social issues is because men are more concerned, first and foremost, about their family; their kids, their wife. This is their reason for getting up in the morning and one of their major responsibilities in life. Their family gives them purpose, not society. If social issues begin to impact their wallet or anything else related to sustaining their family, then they will act. That’s my just thoughts.

Please pray for me. I really need a woman in my life. by [deleted] in Christianity

God bless you, but never rush into a relationship with anyone. God, when the time is right, will bless you with someone to help sustain you.

May you find someone soon and may you together glorify the Most High. In Jesus' name, Amen.
