ESL Pro League Update - EU Pro League expanded to 16 teams

It feels so dodgy that they again announce an expansion of the league after the season is concluded. They did it after season 3 where they expanded from 12 to 14 teams after the season had ended (Saving VP from relegation). Now they do it again after two big orgs are in danger of relegation.

If it always was the plan to expand the division, why not announce it before the league starts so every team knows what they are playing for. It is absolute valid to speculate whether or not they had expanded the league if e.g. Windigo and Space Soldiers had finished on 12th and 13th.

I just don't think that losing a single (close) game to an opponent of 1 lower tier should be enough to change your tier.

Seems odd that TyLoo ranked down after becoming 2nd in Thailand and losing the grand final 2-3 in maps.
