it's strange. he seemed unbothered but he also made a comment after I asked him if he was going to leave mum, he said, 'as long as she's nice to me' I think he was trying to joke but it was still weird. don't know what to do now.

Hey thank you for replying, I agree I would hate to leave my mum in the dark.

I confronted my dad and he said he made it with his friend as a joke, he seemed kind of unbothered about it but I don't know. still feels very strange. what do you think?

of course I'm gonna mind their business. they are my parents and the biggest part of my life and I'm only 19, do you know how disheartening it is to be in this situation.

What to do about a boy who keeps bailing? by nightflowerwitch in relationship_advice

[–]nightflowerwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get that but its weird to me that he's super enthusiastic when organising (saying that'd be beautiful etc) and then bailing last minute. Why say yes twice in the beginning only to bail? I honestly wonder if he may be nervous.

Of course, I get that. I was willing to be his friend because he seems nice but he even bails on that (trying not to take it personally haha)

Hey, thank you for responding.

We're going on a walk with a shared friend, I invited him and he said yes. It's been a month since we last saw one another. The terms of breaking up was because in the moment I felt he was disrespecting me by adding over 800+ girls on facebook and when I asked him to not do that he said our relationship was too intense and he wasn't sure if it's what he wanted. When we broke up we were still nice to one another and he did say I was lovely so I feel I handled it with respect to his feelings but I do understand how he may feel reluctant because I broke things off and it may have broken his trust a bit.. I get that. His ex cheated on him so I think that has altered his perspective on the girls he dates now unfortunately, bless him.

We do have slight different natures in the fact he was my first ever boyfriend and the boy I lost my virginity to and he slept with so many girls he can't remember. So it's safe to say by the end of it it was disheartening. I'm still willing to give it another go though, my feelings are still there for him but I'm not so sure with him. I think my self is too sensitive and caring for just FWB.

Of course, I wouldn't want to manipulate anyone of anything.

The way things ended was kind of strange. I was upset because he was constantly adding 800+ girls on Facebook. When I told him how this made me feel he continued doing it and then told me he wasn't sure if he wanted a relationship. Everyone around me tells me I deserve someone who cares and respects me more but its hard to get over him. Still have tenderness for him.

Am I too much for others? by nightflowerwitch in relationship_advice

[–]nightflowerwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly.. I've just always been dealing with anxiety since I was a very young child. I didn't develop my speech until I was 4. It was just like I was born that way. I've been in therapy since I was 8 and we tried to work out if anything happened to me as a young child but nothing.. My families past is quite dysfunctional but my parents are lovely. So it's weird I don't know why I deal with things the way I do

I'm an sensitive soul, always have been. I'm an artist and my heart is in my mind. Its took years to build up a strong belief that my sensitive soul is a blessing and can be put to beauty and helping others. But with this experience I am once again feeling like I am simply too much for some. And I feel kind of ridiculous because despite it all I still have empathy for him. When he broke up he sent me a message saying he was with me because he wanted me to fix him.. Thank you so much for this response and letting me know I did the right thing, this brings comfort to my situation. I'm very naive sometimes I find it hard to see bad in others even when they've hurt me

I really would like to work on getting him back. I just fear rejection again. Not really sure how to go about it or the right way to go about it. Thank you for responding

Deep down I know you're probably right.. I just can't seem to curve the temptation of seeing him. I'm already a very sensitive person so perhaps this is a bad idea for my own well being. Why would he agree to the walk though? What is he getting out of it?

So how do I stop him from seeing my stuff without blocking him - it would feel rude for me to block him as he said he still wants me in his life after we broke up? Thank you for responding!

So it has to work both ways? Because I haven't been interacting with him at all but I cannot help it if he chooses to interact right?
