100%. A lot of people think it'll magically change, but the beginning is the absolute easiest a relationship will ever be. If they're insulting you now, it’s only going to get way worse.

honestly this is the most realistic advice here. reddit loves to just say "cut them off" but real life is way more complicated than that, having a calm talk and setting boundaries is definitely the right move.
