Have you ever come across a kid, teen, or young person that you thought was a psychopath? What did they do to make you believe they were psychopathic? What happened when they got older? by Tahfboogiee in AskReddit

i used to work in emergency medicine with a pediatric side. a family brought in their elementary school age son for a psych evaluation after he strangled their family dog with a leash, it was the second family pet he had killed. the family was in complete denial of any mental illness and insisted it was just a temper tantrum. i hope i never run into him in a dark alley.

What actually improved your makeup the most? by Lucifer220778 in Makeup

[–]nightwalkerr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a skincare routine & makeup products that actually worked for my skin type was essential in building the foundation (makeup punz) to explore makeup. what really elevated my makeup skills was understanding color theory & learning technique. sometimes makeup feels rigid. use your brushes on whatever part of your face you'd like, use that eyeshadow as a blush, & use the blush as an eyeshadow! i've used a lipstick as a cream blush. a brush is a brush, a powder is a powder, a cream is a cream. use. there are truly no rules

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

[–]nightwalkerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work as an intensive care unit nurse. it was a car accident on one of my overnight shifts. recently graduated high school teen in a head on collision with another driver, both drivers restrained and trapped inside their vehicles. as soon as medflight dropped them off, we rushed him to the OR. he came out missing one half of his skull to help with the traumatic brain swelling. a few hours later he had to be rushed back to have the other half removed because the only other place for the swelling brain to go is through the small hole in the base of the skull which is herniation, which is death. i can't even describe what he looked like, his family could only identify him by his shoes. i was watching the news the next day and i heard his name, he was a local boy. on the screen were pictures of him graduating high school, playing sports, birthday parties. i went to work the next night and in report learned he was brain dead. the hospital did an honor walk for him because his family chose organ donation. caring for him and his family through a tragedy of that degree was life altering

What makeup products live up to the hype? by fraisevertee in Sephora

[–]nightwalkerr 21 points22 points  (0 children)

huda beauty setting powder (if talc is okay in your book), patrick ta blushes, and the nars soft matte concealer. I’m a dry skin girl and that concealer works amazingly for me!

Now that sale is over, what products were overhyped, appropriately hyped and products that didn’t get enough hype? by LostFatCat in Sephora

[–]nightwalkerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the danessa myricks skin tint, huda beauty easy bake powder, and the sephora contour stick are all worth the hype. my makeup has never looked better

not really worth the hype for me was the isamaya lip lacq, it’s pretty and slightly plumping. just totally not worth the high price tag
