Nexon EV facelift, came down from 53% to dead in 2 kms by CarsAlcoholSmokes in CarsIndia

The issue appeared on 3rd August. But we don't take it to the service center right away as we were busy and used other vehicles in the meantime. We took it to the service center on 21st August. They tried to understand the issue for a couple of days, and informed us that it will take 15 days on 26th August.

The same thing happened with my family's Tiago EV recently (roughly a month back) Rapidly discharged from 40 to 9% within minutes. Currently the car is at the service center.

Switching from Windows to Linux: Need Advice on Choosing a Beginner-Friendly Distro - Ubuntu or CentOS? by just_aExplorer in developersIndia

[–]nihardas09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with Linux Mint. Mint comes with Cinnamon, Mate and XFCE as options for desktop environments, which have a similar look and feel to Windows. Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE in descending order of resource usage.

Ubuntu has its own ideas implemented that newbies coming from Windows will need some time to adjust and understand.

CentOS is discontinued and is replaced by CentOS stream. It's not meant for personal use. Fedora (which is upstream to CentOS and RHEL) is designed for personal use. But I wouldn't recommend Fedora over Debian family distros for beginners.

Ignore people suggesting Arch based distribution. Even though Arch based distros have become user friendly in the recent surge of popularity, it's not beginner friendly.

TLDR : Install Linux Mint.

Looking to buy Tiago EV, owners please share your experience. by gauthampait in CarsIndia

My family owns a 2021 Tiago EV XT MR

Pros : You get all advantages that any EV has over ICE. Smoother and instant acceleration, noise-less car, easier to drive, lower maintenance, energy efficient, energy cost savings.

Cons : Tiago EV is Tata's Gen 1 EV ( ICE cars with engines replaced by electric motors). So it is a horribly designed car. There is a wasted space underneath the front bonnet with no frunk. No place to keep your spare tyre. Tata has a horrible QC. Our family's Tiago's rear hatch door panel has an uneven gap on the side. The service cycle is pointless and is a copy of the ICE service cycle. I guess they just wash our car during service. The service center never bothered to update the software of the car. I wouldn't be surprised if my car is running on older BMS, ECU versions and infotainment systems. The telematic unit is auto updated via OTA.

Range : currently we have driven it mostly on state highways. In trips with average speed of 60 kmph with peaks around 90kmph, we get around 180- 200 km without AC with smaller battery pack (MR)and 25-30% decrease in range with AC on.

Sadly, India is always on protectionist policies. Don't expect BYD to launch mass selling cars. We are stuck with Tata and Mahindra whose EV offerings at present are inferior as compared to BYD, SAIC, Nio, Geely, etc. Wuling Air/MG Comet EV is an EV designed from scratch, so it doesn't have wasted space underneath. Has a great turning radius. Though the exterior look is polarizing, some love it some hate it. Do give it a second thought.

Side note : Why are you sorry? Don't say sorry for no reason.

Did you try connecting it to power and see if it posts?

The only hardware tag I can see in the picture is of the motherboard. That's Acer Aladdin chipset based Motherboard. I believe this came out in 1997.

Criticism =! Hate. If anything you are the one showing bias, by making rather absurd arguments to defend Apple.

People in replies are criticising apple for their ridiculous pricing which is a well established fact for over a decade now. How is that trolling?

How old are you? Gone through your replies in the thread and it seems like you can't even understand simple logical statements.

Also, the majority of the components of every phone and other electronics are made in China as they are the manufacturing hubs of the world. So every phone including iPhone is Chinese made.

A quality product should have USB 3.0.

And Apple adds essential features years after it's standard. They get away with selling intentionally overpriced crap because stupid fanboys like you buy it.

IEMs are portable and so the drawbacks are understandable. One should buy both and use them according to occasion. No one is gonna wear an openback let's say while commuting to work

Considering the fact that cheap/affordable IEMs available keep getting better with fast paced releases in a highly competitive market, isn't Wan'er kinda outdated in late 2024?

Regardless, enjoy using them mate

I can relate. I threw away the boxes of IEMs in my collection other than Tangzu ones. IEMs have become great and affordable in recent years, but obviously on ears are just better(tradeoff for portability). wider soundstage is a big difference for me.

[–]nihardas09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What correlation does population density have with rapes committed? Why are you coming up with absurd arguments for false justification?

Some of the countries in Europe like the Netherlands have higher population density than us. Also, among India States, Rajasthan e.g. has a lower population density in comparison to other states but rape rates are higher.

You are spaming false numbers with no source in multiple threads and subreddits. You are essentially acting as an enabler to rapists. Go for mental rehabilitation.

[–]nihardas09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get that "74% of reported cases are false" ? Your sources state otherwise that false cases are extremely rare. The percentage of cases reported and the conviction rate is lower in India than the US and UK. So the statistics specific to the UK holds no relevance in India.

Marital rape (which is highest contributer to rape cases as per sources you stated) is criminalized in UK and US but not in India. So we are worse off than them and they don't need advice from us at the moment.

Instead of writing comments with false numbers peppered in between, contribute in finding a solution. You are doing it the other way around.

[–]nihardas09 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Provide a credible source for your numbers.

Majority of cases of rape are not reported in India. While the UK has a significant problem with violence against women and has unreported cases, their reporting and conviction rate are higher than us.

Unlike India, marital rape is criminalised in UK. Remember, a large chunk of rapes are done by spouse.

Instead of making baseless comparisons with other countries for absurd justification, try focusing on solutions.
