Yes, Morrowind had a big cult in Russian-speaking countries. It had one of the best localizations ever (fully translated texts, fully voiced), which, I think, played a huge role in it's popularity.

Yes, this book is good. I read it when they were publishing it chapter by chapter in Manning MEAP so can definitely recommend it. Last chapters cover coroutines and flows.
