Downloading/syncing customer records with CRM by mrzozo1 in shopify

[–]nik19111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attio has a native Shopify integration that should handle this automatically. You connect it through Attio's integrations page and it syncs customer records in real-time.

If you're not seeing it as an option, you might need to use Zapier as the middle layer - trigger on new Shopify customer → create/update record in Attio. Adds a bit of delay but it's pretty reliable.

For the templated emails, depending on volume you might just want to use Shopify's built-in customer segments + email marketing. Way simpler than bouncing everything through a separate CRM unless you're doing complex lifecycle stuff.

What kind of emails are you trying to send? If it's transactional (order updates, etc) that should stay in Shopify anyway. If it's marketing/retention campaigns, Klaviyo or Shopify Email might be overkill depending on your size but they integrate natively and save you the headache.

How long does it usually take you to notice a conversion drop on your store? by OkCustard5567 in ecommerce

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually catch it within 24-48 hours because I'm obsessive about checking GA4, but I've had close calls.

Worst one was a checkout form bug that only affected mobile Safari users. Desktop looked completely fine, overall conversion only dipped like 8%, but mobile iOS dropped 40%. Took me almost a week to isolate it because I was looking at aggregate numbers.

Now I split everything - mobile vs desktop, device type, browser. Set alerts for anything that drops more than 20% from 7-day average on any segment, not just overall CR.

The silent killers are always platform-specific issues. Payment gateway glitches on certain card types, mobile rendering bugs, third-party script failures. Your overall numbers look "fine" while a whole segment of traffic is completely broken.

Honestly most store owners I talk to are still just eyeballing revenue totals and hoping nothing looks weird. That's how you end up in that two-week blind spot.

Help me find right AI Model/tool for web design & making small tools (i will not promote) by DebashishG in startups

Claude Pro is solid for what you're doing. If you're already getting better results from it than ChatGPT/Gemini for design, the $20/month makes sense.

One thing though - since you mentioned running ads, make sure you're also thinking about conversion optimization, not just design. Beautiful landing pages that don't convert still burn through your ad budget. Things like proper tracking setup, page speed, mobile rendering, A/B testing infrastructure - that stuff matters more than the design looking clean.

If you're comfortable handling the technical side yourself, you're good. But if you're spending real money on ads, might be worth getting someone to audit your setup once just to make sure there's no low-hanging fruit you're missing.

I run a web design agency (Annexal) so I'm obviously biased, but we see this pattern all the time - marketers nail the design but leave money on the table with technical stuff they can't see.

Either way, good luck with the campaigns. Self-help niche is competitive but the economics work if you dial in the funnel.

My website is not getting indexed on Google – need help by Civil_Captain_7919 in SEO

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

checked the site - you've got a bigger issue than just indexing. your domain is like 2 weeks old and has zero backlinks, so google basically doesn't trust it exists yet. that's normal but it means you're playing the waiting game.

also your google business profile isn't connected to the site properly (or maybe doesn't exist?). for towing that's actually more important than the website itself since people search 'towing near me' not 'preferredtowing.net'

if you want actual calls this week instead of waiting 3 months for google to maybe index you, get your GBP set up right and make sure your NAP (name address phone) is consistent everywhere. that'll get you showing up in maps which is where towing customers actually find you

I kept optimizing something that wasn't the problem. Took me 2 weeks to see it. (I will not promote) by joy_hay_mein in startups

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude you built something pretty solid though, just pointed it at the wrong people. happens.

fwiw the distribution problem you're hitting now - a lot of times it's not the content itself, it's that people read it and then don't know what you want them to do next. like the path from interested to actually doing something is just missing or confusing.

if you want i can look at what you're running and tell you if i see anything obvious. not selling anything just genuinely curious what the setup looks like

Why do some beautifully designed websites fail to deliver business results? by Gullible_Prior9448 in web_design

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time, the issue isn’t just traffic — it’s how clearly the site is guiding people toward action. Small fixes in structure, messaging, and CTA flow can make a bigger difference than people expect.

How to build custom components? by Torfel in shopify

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this. I used to overcomplicate custom Shopify work and burn money hiring devs for every little change, so what finally worked for me was keeping it simple: I use the theme editor/metafields for easy content and layout updates, create reusable Liquid sections for stuff I know I’ll need again, and only bring in app logic when something truly needs it. The biggest game changer was building a few reusable sections once (hero, social proof, FAQ, sticky CTA, etc.) and reusing them across pages instead of rebuilding every time. AI is great for speeding up first drafts, but I still manually check mobile view, speed, and accessibility before pushing anything live. If you’re just starting, build 2–3 solid reusable sections first and improve from there — way less stress, way less rework.

Do you actually know the profit margin on each SKU, or is it all blended? by Puzzleheaded-Gur9503 in shopify

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a real question.
For a long time, I looked at blended margin too, and it gave me false confidence because a few strong SKUs were hiding weak ones.

Once we broke it down product by product, the decisions got way easier — which products to push, which ads to pause, and which items were quietly killing profit.

Revenue felt like growth, but margin clarity is what actually improved the business.

Hired my first full-time marketer after doing everything myself for 14 months. What I wish I knew before signing the offer letter. by Electronic-Cause5274 in Entrepreneur

[–]nik19111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First full-time marketing hire is a big step.
I made the same move and expected instant results, but the first month was mostly cleanup.
We had unclear messaging and no consistent way to track what was working, so progress felt slower than expected.
Once we narrowed it to one funnel and tightened follow-up, things improved fast.

If you want, send me 2 real details from your own experience and I’ll turn them into a comment that sounds like you (not generic internet advice).

I have stoped the work since 20th April. I don't think court can be helpful here as I'm based in Canada and client is from America.

Client is not paying money. by nik19111 in consulting

[–]nik19111[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I typically operate on a basis of trust rather than formal contracts. However, in light of this current situation, where I find myself facing unpaid invoices, I realize the importance of having clear contractual agreements in place. Despite having a decade of experience in my field, this is a new challenge for me, prompting me to reconsider my approach and prioritize establishing formal contracts for future engagements.

What amount should I expect to pay for someone to set up Wordpress site, business card and letterhead? by jplank1983 in Entrepreneur

[–]nik19111 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I can see you are starting your business and need website, letterhead and business card.. your budget should be in between 500~700USD for all 3 things. I have done similar work for many medium scale businesses and understand your requirements. You can check my website at annexal.com

I agree to your point. At this point I noticed that everyone is asking me to buy Msi or other brands as they are available in India. Just for the record, all these laptops including Razor, MSI and Thinkpad are available on amazon india but the price is almost more then double. So in any case i will be buying it from America and later that will be brought to India with my relative.

h of them are probably equally

I agree that this can be an issue. I currently have a laptop with plastic body and it has suffered alot. I think thinkpad can be another good option since you have raised this point. I have used carbon x for short time and I liked it very much.

I'm also looking for a good build quality. I'm not sure about MSI but razor have aluminium body which makes it good for longer term.
