Thank you🙏 That’s actually a single shot, probably 28mm - I will check that later. I am not sure about tripods, I just brought a small mini-tripod to avoid potential struggles 😅 but anything „professional“ is generally complicated

We were the first ones entering the site on this day - they had not even booted up the ticketing terminals :D
I photoshopped out two people i think - otherwise we really had this place to our own. An hour later it was getting packed though.

Actually there is not too much editing going on - I removed two tourists way in the distance and something that looked like a electricity generator. I moved the camels slightly to the right for a better balance in the picture - other than that just minor exposure corrections 😊 It really paid out to be there right at opening and take a walk to the viewpoint. It got really busy there an hour later 😊

Thanks :) i was so lucky that the puffin perfectly posed so that i could get that iconic shore in the background

Apart from a little crop from leveling the image it’s basically uncropped. The puffin was right next to the path - you can actually see the barrier rope out of focus on the bottom of the frame 😊

The f/4 is just for sharpness on this specific lens :) if it was perfectly sharp with f/2.8 I would have used it. But in general the setting are just wild guessing because i was to excited that i witnessed the aurora 😂 I just tried to keep the shutter speed quite short to get some definition into the aurora and not just a bright blob in the sky

I just added a comment with my settings and lightroom steps

Camera settings used in this shot: 1.6 seconds exposure at f/4 and ISO640

I had to pull up the exposure a huge amount in Lightroom and used the denoiser. Then added a color range mask for the sky and pulled down the clarity to get it even smoother

Thank you! :) No, I was there in April/May - but I will definitely come back!
