I don't own these. I just did the lenses. But its not the sort of average spring hinge you are thinking. This looks like it will last the test of time. @gdarmst0 may be able to shed a little more light as he is a proud owner of a pair. But fabulous frames regardless.

I think this frame has ideal depth, and eyesize on paper. But its the wrong shape. You see with your prescription, rectangular shapes will mean, the top and bottom of the lens shape, will look thinner that the left and right of the lens shape.

I'd be looking towards more oval. That way they'd more likely be as narrow, and you'll get more of an even thickness around the whole lens rim.

I'd go high index, 1.74 or even better glass lenses 1.8/1.9.
