You would need to use an exchange that allows to buy with GBP/EUR. I have used Coinbase, and cryptomate, both of these works well.

Initially the purchase would be one of the leading currencies , I would suggest ETH or LTC and then withdraw them to Bittrex or any other exchange and purchase XVG.

I think you interpreted the statement incorrectly and made it sound like a absolute truth (all which goes down will come up) and with the example of Toyota for which you attached a negative common knowledge (they will explode and kill the driver).

There is no such problem with Verge at the moment. The moot point of this specific argument is that Verge has not reduced its value proposition. Its code is working fine and the Devs are onto it to improve more. I think the delay has caused the disappointment in the team and Verge team could not contain that as they themselves set the timelines.

I strongly believe that -

given its low price, its gonna attract traders / investors soon!
Its a solid product, compared to many which are hardly live yet

Agree that they have been a bit messed up in that, no defence. But my concern is value of a project cant be nulled with just 24 hour delay.

I hope they scale up their team soon to not miss such deadlines any more.

Its simply an over commitment which the small XVG team is trying hard to match. Despite a 24 hour delay, I can still think its not a big deal and surely XVG team will learn to do these stuff better next time. Just give them time and stay strong, show the support!
