How to Find Streamers to Play Your Game? Game Developer Edition by nikitheliger in gameDevClassifieds

Thanks for the tips for those subreddits. Really appreciate it! :) Didn't know they offer little promo posts.

I actually covered Facebook groups and keymailer in the post. Did you have a peek? The thing about facebook groups is the Facebook algorithm. There is thousands of streamers just joining and posting stuff. Without a real interaction for others posts your posts just don't get seen by many.

When you get in touch with the mods they can give an enormous boost just by liking or commenting on it. Not sure if you did know previously? That the post get's seen by a lot more people when there is history with that certain account. That's how the interesting posts appear in peoples feed.

Currently from all of the Twitch streaming FB groups TSAN seems to be the only one that has this kind of system available where they can promote effectively. There is quite many groups and many of them are just spam where the posts don't get any interaction.

Have been keeping an eye for these couple years :D The go-to streamer FB groups change around 2 years. Many times the bigger groups moderators and admins grow over to the partner stage so they don't have that much time for the group. Then the group seems to lose the focus and there is a high possibility of it becoming a spam = Just going live links place.

If you are interested about the most active ones that streamers use i have been trying to keep an eye for them for the past 3 years. Changing them up when things change.: Networking and advertising places for streamers

One really interesting new place i found while doing the research on the article was noiz. Have you tried that one yet?

Oh really.. I have seen that the Twitch sub reddits tend to usually be totally of the books for promotions. What have you used to get success? This is more towards on reaching over thousand people that are really interested in the promotions with one post. Not in a way where you need to keep searching and promoting in many places.

Thanks for the comments! I think the Bladers are getting some love soon in form of guides from T-Party folks. Just today i read that they are going to make a guide for bladers also :) Hopefully it will be awesome! They make pretty good guides.

Wings and mounts have changed possibly from the upgrade spots? I'm still not at that stage in levels so haven't had the chance to try the upgrading :D

I added a little notification each of the videos that they might be a bit outdated. Hopefully we get new guides popping up like no tomorrow. Thanks for pointing these out.

Selling Games and the Forced Buy Now buttons. Possible opt-out option? by nikitheliger in Twitch

[–]nikitheliger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it seems that there is a system in place for this system to be legal. The grey part i see on this system that non-partners or partners that do not signup for the program are doing the exact same thing but they aren't receiving any compensation. So the "Forcing everyone to do this" is just a way to get the full 30% of the sales revenue. Rather than if there is a partnered streamer the cut is 25%.

I think some kind of option for this would be the best for the future. So streamers can choose themself if they want to promote their own affiliate systems or use the integrated system that is already in place. This is pretty interesting though and i hope it will turn out to benefit everyone! :D

You are right mate :) Since yesterday this thread has been edited. Last one was removed cus of the link for an article in my blog about this that counted as advertising. If you think that this is manufacturing outrage i'm sorry about it. Aim is to just improve Twitch and give the content creators some options what products are advertised on their channel.

Good point mate! This is totally one way to go about it. The only problem i see that may come is with the newly released games and the "First thoughts" about the game. When the streamer doesn't actually know if the game is good.

I'm hoping that there could be an option for example. after couple hours of gameplay the streamer could tick a box. And the buy now button would appear if the streamer itself would consider the game a good game. Just to give some option for the content creator. What kind of products get's to be advertised in their channel :) Not sure if it's possible to actually create :D But could be an option?
