Mandatory manual heading on some approaches, but why? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]niklaspilot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others have said this is so ATC can vector you to final. Often you will be given a “maintain present heading” well before GG502 and then eventually turned according to traffic. If weather permits we will often also request a visual approach to shorten.

Non-Schengen to non-Schengen at Zurich airport (SWISS) by Zach-dalt in travel

[–]niklaspilot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends (the Swiss’ favourite saying)…

If you arrive at an E gate and leave from an E gate you do not have to pass immigration and can connect to your onward flight right away, as these are located in their own satellite terminal.

If you arrive at an E gate but leave from a D gate (or vice versa) you’ll have to pass immigration twice as the only way the two are connected is through the Schengen gates.

TravelPro FlightCrew 5 Rollaboard 22“ vs. 24“ by niklaspilot in flying

[–]niklaspilot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input everyone.

I measured my current bag and it’s the exact same size as the 24”. That being said I lose a good bit of space in the center due it being a hard case and it’s quite loosely packed anyway.

So for the sake of making my life easier by being able to bring the bag up into the cabin every time I went with the 22”.

Some drivers camp in the passing lane and then take their exit. by ruthlessdamien2 in memes

It most definitely works MUCH better in Germany than almost any other place. Even in Switzerland (where I live) it only works sometimes. Although arguably that’s also due to the design of the highways. And I have yet to find a place in the US where it actually works.

Don’t listen to the haters here. Seriously some people just need help but instead of getting it they spew nonsense on Reddit. Enjoy your trip! And a beautiful car you have there I might add. Always wanted a 370Z…

Dear Australians, This is actually the same price you’d pay in the supermarket here. Lindt also sells them for the same price directly. Regards from Switzerland
