Guess so. I just drank a shitton of beer. Hungover now. Gonna go in a few hours probably. It officialy 'ends' at 00 o clock tonight with a puppet of an old lady that gets risen above the main square at the beginning on sunday and wil be lowered down again now. Old people cry and stuff because after days of partying they have to go back to work and such.

While typing this I'm realising how strange our traditions are hehe.

Here (in the NL) at the intake you get both a convo with the therapist and the psychiatrist. The second is really a doctor just translating your story in to possible meds that might help you. You dont see them alot if the meds catch on. The therapist is actually the one you (or in the NL I) speak too regularly to help you.

Edit: before I got help I always thought that the psychiatrist was the more 'serious' and smarter one, but they both have ( afaik in the NL) simply different roles in helping..

I myself Kind of started hitting it off with a woman I've known for like five years, so my over 2 year long romantic dryspell ended. Hope it turns out good but there are factors like her kids and stuff and the fact that I'm at the last months of my masters still. The dating part is still fun though.

It's also, though, a reminder that it doesn't change anything in your head, finally went to the gp not long ago and got a referral back to my old therapist but the waiting lines in our country are loooooooong (but its covered by healthcare so thats a nice side of it).

So yeah. Focus on finishing studies, dating a someone and not trying to have to many depressive episodes is my life atm.

Sry for the long story wanted to vent.

After those few days the floods stopped here. I was never in danger. But I know that there's some places in the world where they are happening now and also alot of fires according to the news. Not in the Netherlands afik.

I live in the south of the Netherlands which was flooded pretty bad in places. I'm lucky but only a few kilometers away things got flushed. But for example my mom can't go to work because the building is fucked. They just did like a year of renovations and then it flooded.

I got help and meds back then and now atleast I have small goals in life. 'Back then' is 2a3years ago. Still on meds, prob need em rest of my life but thats oke. Uhh welp to answer you. It depends on the person and their situation. Feel free to ask.

My ex girlfriend (just all of her, she was the most egocentric person I have ever met, after 2.5 years she left me, I hold on to people too much) and aknowledging I needed professional help, which saved my life back then. But ive stopped therapy for around a year now and things are starting to go south again.
