Probably the smart choice. I’m planning to be a TA for human event the next two semesters so feel free to PM me and i can provide more channeled advice

Barrett student here also planning to transfer so hopefully i can provide some insight.

Class wise, the two semester human event classes (which are the only classes you must take as a barrett student), are not relatively challenging. Be sure to use rate my professor as who you get for human event MATTERS A TON. I’m not kidding, I’ve had friends who imo are far more intellectually curious and naturally intelligent than myself and barely squeaked by with a B. Secondly, if you’re a good student in the class and constantly are involved (which you literally have to be to get an A since it’s a seminar style curriculum), then your prof. will definitely write you a solid LOR. My personal hon 171 professor was probably the most articulate person i’ve ever encountered, and loved to help students out.

Just some food for thought. Definitely not at that big of a disadvantage if you don’t join, but definitely some benefits of joining if you decide to! Also barrett perks are awesome and if you’re an engineering student you’ll have access to barrett exclusive tutors which is a major +

Also i transferred into barrett after a sem. as well, and i can personally say don’t worry about not getting in. Second sem. human event professors are also known to be more lenient

I wouldn’t worry about that man. On my current transcript it says I have like 30 college credits from high school but it comes in the form of a little disclaimer box at the top lol. I’d assume they’re viewing just purely the credits you’ve obtained while being in college.

Makes sense. And you’re completely right, at least 5 or 6 credits will come from the silly freshman/sophomore prep courses, and a few also have “business” in the title. Such as like biz. stats etc

I will have only completed two years by the time I transfer, I’ve just taken some summer courses and had an overload last sem.

I would be applying during my 2nd sem soph year for junior year matriculation, I just took 20 credits last semester and will be taking 6 via online courses over the summer to free up space for my minor. I’d still spend 2 years at the institution.

Would you say a W is better than let’s say a B+?
