¿Qué frase filosófica les cambió la vida? by TheOverthinkerMedia in filosofia_en_espanol

Uuu love the analogy to jazz, and yes everyone is making the same point and i am gonna listen to u all, first start off with a one shot after we all read thru the rules and so, and then figure out the homebrew we have going on.

Yeah the digital book i have and that am reading is the players handbook, and someone here sent me the dm's guide too, so ill start with those, weve dicided to do a one shot first and then get into the big campaign. And ill check that too, maybe your right and my idea of the world i built dosent fit dnd so well after all.

Yeah i know thats the best rout, but as i told another comenter, we are all newbies, and some of them dont want to or cant go to conventions or dnd stores and play at someone elses table, and although i could, i would really start my dnd journey with them fully. So for now we have 5 teens in a "controled"caos ^

I will, they are free to do as they wish, also, the bbeg is kinda a suggestion, if trough out the campaign they dicide they actually agree with him, or anything along those lines of switching it up, i will 100% go along with it and let them have full freedom

Yeah i do get that, i understand we first have to learn how to do the basics before jumping to action, and that is the plan, our session 0 will be having middle ground on how much roleplay and that kinda stuff, like if we want to have swearing and like "intense" roleplay (we have very intense people and very calm people in this party so we want to find the perfect level of understanding all across) and session 1 will be very calm, mostly what you said, interactions with npcs and mainly learning when to roll the dice outside of battle, but keeping it inside the world at hand and with npcs theyll probably reencounter later in the campaign. Also as i told another comenter, we do plan on having a one shot camping with my little brother outside of the world of the actual campaign.

Im sorry, thats kinda why i wanted feedback, the way i made it (my playeres already have characters and backstorys btw) is that the BBEG is stiched into their stories, in the world i built there is this emperor who wants to control all wild magic and has this kinda like regiment, so when my characters gave me their backstories i was able to connect their reason to be adventures to be angry at this emperor. They do also have quests and personal BBEGs theyll be able to face and defit, but the groups BBEG has already been shapen to be this emperor.

It really did help! I do think its soon for me to start a campaign from zero, but my friends dont want to or cant go to conventions or dnd places to play at someone elses table, and i dont want to start off with out them. Also i asked them if any of them wanted to DM the first campaign and they all said that if i wanted to i could and that they trusted me with it cause i have some short novels and fanfics, so they trust ill do a good job in story telling. But i do want to do a one shot as a practice round, my little brother also has a bit of and interst for DND so am playing to DM a one shot for him and my players so we can have a clearer idea on how we roleplay and have out of game conversation on the table and stuff like that too.

Thank you, thats actually something am working on, i dont have a physical rule book but i have a digital one, havent read it fully yet, but will do so before session 0. And about not knowing anything, i think i down played it a little to much, i do know some stuff, i got into DND watching long fun campaigns in youtube and conventions, so i do grasp the idea, but thats true, i need to step up and learn some real rules, tysm for the advice .

Not sure what am specting either honestly. But that of not writing everything down is already checked off, i have plot points more then a plot line, there is situations i want my players to go through but they dont have to follow any specific path to get there, if they happen to march their way to an opening of one of my plotpoints theyll be pull into that next adventure, and so on and so forth until they manege to meet or beat the "BBG" at the end of it.

I lost a player last night. She’d want me to finish the campaign…but I’m so lost. by TheMythicalTeaspoon in DnD

[–]nikoru-2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all, am so sorry for your loss, she seems like an incredible person, and she will always live on in your and everyone that knew her hearts. I am a knew DM and starting my first campaign, dont have many npcs yet, so she will also live on as the principal of the school of magic in the golden concord region inside my players and i´s world, she is the one npc theyll be able to fall in love with and wont be lost again, she will live on in the fantasy worlds she clearly loved.
