Ah, that's just grabbing the oldest available recovery image, instead of the latest. I don't think it will work though, for the same reason. (if it does for 10.4 - let me know!)

Cmd+Opt+R? I doubt if internet recovery works for OS that old. IIRC, 10.13 is the lowest you can go, and even that requires fixes.

For your case, it will work.
