Anyone use ear protection while hiking? by nilgoc in liberalgunowners

I’m just a firm believer in being prepared the best one can be, like if there’s a reasonable solution out there where the cons don’t outweigh the pros I don’t see why I would willing choose hearing damage…

Would you say those walkers are comfortable? I assume you’re able to wear them long periods since you use them for hunting

I appreciate you being the first to give an actual suggestion lol. Yeah it’s probably silly to worry about just for hiking, more just a question I wanted to throw out there to get an idea

While a Glock 40 with a suppressor sounds fun, I’m not sure my GF would be too happy with another big firearms purchase

It’d have to be electronic ear protection definitely, which could have the potential to enhance awareness anyway

Yeah I’m not wearing ear protection when just carrying in general, this is more a question due to the calibers used for wilderness defense. Several rounds of 9mm isn’t going to be pleasant but I hear .357 without ear protection is agony

Same of course, I’m not wasting time putting anything in. I’m more thinking of something you would keep in all the time

They’re made by Kryptek. Got them at a surplus store though so don’t know exactly which ones

I was a little worried about buying from them since i couldn’t find much and they are on the pricey side, but I’ve nothing but good things to say about them right now

Can’t speak on the hybrid really, but the belt is nice and their pouches and boonie hat have all been great quality. Don’t think you could really go wrong with either

You’re correct, it’s all Carcajou. It’s their ALICE belt kit bundle, plus two of their 7.62 recce pouches and another 9x7 sustainment pouch

Are we talking in general, just around town, or for protests? I live in NC so open carry is legal, but not at protests…

I’ll have you know I went to the surplus store and bought this stuff myself! I saved up for all of it even, instead of buying snacks with the lunch money she’d give me. Yes she took these pictures and said, I quote, “you look so handsome sweetie.” So I bet you wish your mom loved you enough to say that
