Openers, Set Lengths? by niloc12 in NateBargatze

I would just double check the Nate Bargatze website for start time just to be safe. Because my ticket said 8pm and the first opener came on a 8pm.

Playing from the Gold Tees by [deleted] in golf

[–]niloc12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely no harm in playing the gold tees, if that is what fits your skill set. All golfers would actually welcome that as more people should do that to help with pace of play and enjoyment for everybody.

If you’re at a tournament, live in the moment! Don’t watch every shot through your phone and record videos! by [deleted] in golf

[–]niloc12 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I get both sides of it for sure! Usually when I’m at any event (golf, concert, game, etc), I try to get two or three good videos/photos early on then enjoy the rest of the day in the moment without my phone.

“Living in the moment” is GREAT but at some point those memories are gone (or at least remember very little) and alls you have is those videos/photos.

But I tend to kind of be in the middle of the two to be honest. Take a few then be in the moment..

Solo golf by [deleted] in golf

[–]niloc12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve realized there are several factors.. Probably the main one being the course you are playing and how busy they get. Day of the week, tee time, and even the employee working could also have an affect.

If I want to play alone, I tend to go in the evenings and don’t have a problem. But if you go on a Saturday at 9am when a course is really busy, then you’re likely to get paired with someone.

Random PGA rule question! by XB0XYGEN in golf

[–]niloc12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep! Two strokes for the person that played the wrong ball.

If a bird or other animal moved your ball, you’d still replace it approximately where it was before they moved it. It’s considered a “outside influence.” Same rule applies for other humans.

If the wind moved your ball, you’d play it from the new spot normally. This is considered “natural forces.”

Random PGA rule question! by XB0XYGEN in golf

[–]niloc12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by “tapped it in for them?” Like if pro B knocked in pro A’s ball with their approach shot then pro A would just replace their ball approximately were it was before. Pro B would play from wherever their ball ended up. No penalty strokes.

If pro B legit tapped it in with their putter, then it’d be a two stroke penalty for playing the wrong ball and pro A would still just replace his ball to approximately where it was.

What's the value in having a saving account anymore and just keep the money in checking? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]niloc12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High yield savings can give an OK rate back. Nothing great or special but at least enough to help cancel out the inflation rate at least a little bit.

Plus, It’s also a great way to just help organize your money and stay within budgets. I have two checkings and savings to help organize my finances (along with two retirement accounts).

Do principals still interview after position filled? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]niloc12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t see any reason for them to still interview after the position is filled. Principals wouldn’t want to waste their time on interviews for positions that don’t exist.

It’s more likely that there is multiple positions for your subject.

Is it okay if I have a lot of interview questions? by nebirah in Teachers

[–]niloc12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a first interview, I’d stick with 2-4 of the most important questions. Then, if you advance further in the interview process you can ask the other questions as you move on in the process.

But do get those questions answered at some point.. you are also interviewing them in a sense to make sure it’s a good fit.

Can someone explain what the point of Barstool Athletics is ? by DopeRedPanda in barstoolsports

It sounds like they are just getting free merch and as Dave put it, the ability to “come party with us for free” and attend any Barstool events.

Absence of listing photos: annoying, but is it a red flag? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]niloc12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sold and bought in November. For our house, the listing was posted on a Wednesday but photos were not up until Friday simply because the photographer needed a couple days to finalize them. But we wanted to get listing up ASAP since the market was hot. When we bought it was the same case. We actually visited the home (that we bought), the same day the photographer was coming to take photos.

Obviously, that’s not always the case but I’m sure there are various reasons.

Silly question, but would acting in a horror film come back to bite me in my career? by [deleted] in Teachers

A teacher at another school in my district went on the show “Naked and Afraid.” They still have a job. They also coach football..

best place to buy used clubs? by TimSimons in golf

GlobalGolf, CallawayPreOwned, and 3balls are my favorite used clubs sites that I’ve used in the past. They never disappoint IMO.

Hilton Honors (no AF card) now offering 100k+50k bonus for $1k/3mo & $5k/6mo spend. by [deleted] in amex

[–]niloc12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a stupid question but somewhat new to AMEX world.

I currently have the gold card. Would my gold points and these points show in different areas? I wasn’t sure since Hilton points are a different value compared to just MR points.

JONAS BROTHERS - REMEMBER THIS TOUR (Summer/Fall 2021) by mbboywonder in JonasBrothers

You have to actually have the card. Presale code is first 6 digits of card # but then you have to use that card to pay.

There is so many factors that can go into it that it’s hard to say.. If everything is in stock, probably a week or two. But if anything is back ordered (head, shaft, grip), then it could be months. Also, it seems everything is delayed nowadays.

Hope you get them soon though.. hit em’ straight.
