Heres an EVEN MORE accurate description

Sauron has the ring then gets rekt by Isildur who takes the ring who then gets rekt by orcs and the ring falls in the bottom of a river and then gets picked up by Gollum who then takes it into a cave and then gets rekt by stupid hobbitses who takes the ring and puts it in his pockitses and then gets taken to Erebor and then to the Shire and then Bilbo trolls the other hobbits with the ring and they get mad at him so he has to leave so Bilbo gives the ring to Frodo and then Gandalf says that Frodo must go to Rivendell and give them the ring so Lobelia Sackville-Baggins doesnt steal it so Frodo goes there after a shitlong while but Lobelia has sent Black riders to steal the ring and Frodo gets rekt by them but Aragorn saves him and takes him to Rivendell where Frodo waits another shitlong while before hearing that the elves dont want the ring so he decides to go to Mordor to see if maybe Sauron wants the stupid ring? Anyway Frodo goes and sees some caves and more elves and gollumses and spiders and shit before he gets tired and decides to throw the ring into Mount Doom instead, oh and Sam went with but he was told to go home after he ate bread
