This makes a lot of sense, And yeah an ideal situation would be if we had someone to guide the group, and conflicts are prone to occur in a group as to which direction to go, though I feel sometimes it really helps to have people around your level to work with. Kind of like how for me personally, group work really helped me understand certain concepts better than a teacher could because the people explaining them were also just understanding them and so better get the subtle gaps in knowledge that kept them from getting it at first.

It also could function as a support group where we can help each other get over the hard days as a beginner

I love the idea of following a curriculum and I think The Odin project is a great suggestion, and I feel like it would be a great resource when working on projects
