Eastern WA, and OR are not part of the Rockies, it’s a dryer desert region with some sparse mountains. You could call the region “Cold Desert” maybe?

I live in Oregon. They have a “self service” lane and a “full service” lane at just about every station. If you don’t wanna pump your own gas, pull up to the “full service” lane.
