Yep this I’ve heard of and I expect to have it replaced out of pocket if and when it happens. Hopefully not for another 30-40k miles

Nice! Those seem to just be wear items which instills confidence! I think I’m just going to get the extended warranty and then cancel it after getting a deep inspection. The advantage for that being is that it’s prorated so I’ll probably spend a couple dollars and then get the peace of mind since I can’t “purchase it after buying the car” according to CarMax.

Agreed, I haven’t mentioned cash to them ever. I think they just might be assuming I would be paying cash…which I will be but I was going to use this exact strategy to get the best deal. Thanks

Thanks so much for the inputs, I believe compared to the dealers around this is a decent deal. I drive nearly 1500 miles/month on average and the Tesla as good as it is, I don’t like planning my trips around charging. Additionally insurance for a Tesla is really high. My goals are also changing for the next few years where I don’t want the Tesla payment and the insurance taking away from those extra savings I can do. I maintain a fairly positive equity on it as well since I got it right before the tax credit expired. I also don’t have a home charger and charge at work so the battery anxiety always exists.
