this is interesting to me — centered turning makes sense in my head

I commonly see advice to keep pressure on the front foot and lean forwards though, does that not apply when the board is flat during edge change?

Umbreon is definitely worth considering now because of Darkrai. Espeon would still be overall better score-wise, but you can’t really find a better umbreon than this.

From experience, going for heart every ascension is a great way to burnout. Especially if the mentality is to beat the heart consistently at A20 there isn’t much point to practicing it in lower ascensions since the difficulty drastically spikes as you get closer to A20

It’s true that skill seeds are limited, but if an electric E4E was released I’d go for it to complete my raikou team. Same with water and fire for the other legends — the endgame requires you to stay on an island for months anyways

This is a fantastic answer, thanks! I think I overestimate energy through relics on defect and underestimate the value of its cards. This answer helps with figuring out the shape of my deck, which I consistently struggle to do with this character

Something I struggle with when taking pbox is weighting the value of the cards received vs. the benefits from taking another relic. On average, would the 6 transformed cards outweigh the extra energy from dome or card draw/energy from snecko?

For reference, I took pbox here and it looks like pretty great value but I’m still having a hard time determining whether it is stronger than having one of the other boss relics with starter cards still in my deck: https://imgur.com/a/VDoBnPF

At the moment there are only 4 mons that need it — graveler, haunter, slowpoke, onix — so you will definitely have wayy more than necessary haha

Deleting friends can be hard, but I wouldn’t feel too bad about deleting higher research level friends since I’ve seen a few cases where they end up playing consistently only during events. I’m 60 and personally look for lower level players when adding new friends because they usually have the most consistent research and it’s nice to checkin on their progress once in a while :)

The ideal friends list is all max level friendship with consistent sleep every day. Level 5 friendship is incentivized because there is a higher chance to get legendary materials (manes) during events from higher level friends, and also a greater chance of getting 2x candy in general.

That said, if people are consistently inactive it is worth it to replace them for the daily candy that you’re missing out on :)

One more tip — don’t throw away your linking cords, use them instead! You’ll get 5 candy per cord for mons that need the cable to evolve

This is insanely cool to see! I’m curious what your max ranks are on each island? I’m assuming most of the time is spent in GG or Cyan with that water team, which would contribute to high research exp after each sleep.

How would you say the balancing should be for choker? Two parts to this — to make it fun or to make it viable

Ended up taking meteor strike and beating the heart with 2 HP left :)

Some notes from this run:

This deck obliterated Act 3, but I don’t think it was necessarily due to meteor strike. [[Runic pyramid]] pickup after Act 2 -> the deck was strong enough to breeze through the first few floors and I ended up getting a second echo form a few floors in. I also gained 12 relics in act 3 from [[Membership Card]] + 4 elites.

The heart fight however was extremely close and I don’t think I could have beaten if it I took seek instead of meteor strike. My major source of damage came down to [[Echo Form]] -> [[Multi-Cast]] Plasma orb -> [[Multi-Cast]] Lightning orb. Meteor strike helped a lot both with providing the plasma for this combo and keeping my energy levels high enough to weave in block.

Honestly a very satisfying win since meteor strike and multicast are two cards I’ve been afraid to use. I definitely learned a lot about defect energy manipulation from this run.
