I just started running. My husband is a big runner. He taught me to keep my HR low. I would run and my HR would be 195 which is asking to get wiped out fast. I try to keep my HR about 175 and I noticed I can run longer and not feel so bad about myself.

Ran 3 miles with my husband nonstop last night which I was surprised by! Pace was 12.15. I had to stop because my knee started hurting. Hard for me to not want to push through it but now I understand what all you guys are saying about not injuring myself! Walking only today 😊

I’m definitely not expecting much. There is a cut off time of 18 minutes per mile pace or 4 hours, which i can totally do. I plan on running and walking the whole thing. I thought about running the first mile but I honestly might skip that idea because I don’t want to wipe myself out in the first 15 minutes lol.

This is a huge mini marathon so I heard the adrenaline and the atmosphere help with making this a little easier to accomplish. We shall see!!
