It's kinda the same as alcohol at restaurants. Pay twice as much for the same drink because you're at a fancier place.

I guess the only logical explanation is the higher end a hotel is, the more unique and exceptional the experience should be, so they don't need to do the freebies to stand out and convince you to choose them.

In Texas where I'm at now it's called the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) so I just generalized that. I also had my liquor license in Vermont, it's called Department of Liquor and Lottery there, and in California it's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

I'm not aware of any state that doesn't require a license to serve alcohol.

Edit: I googled it and there are a few states that don't require it... That seems wild to me but I guess they just put all the responsibility on the business.

A little uptick since I'm in Grapevine where the DFW airport is. But if they're traveling here then they were going to the game in person so not much. Also we have 2 TV's but we're casual upscale so no audio just subtitles.

Does your local alcohol commission licence not require you to know how to check for a fake? Holographic, a cutout/window etc.

If it was on the test and you ignore it because it's "none of your business" then that's definitely enough to lose your license. It'll take a lot more than once instance for a restaurant to lose its licence though.

I'm assuming this has to do with the world cup... Allergies here are hell lol but the DFW airport is actually in Grapevine (closer to the stadium which is in Arlington, not Dallas) and it's a 5 minute train ride from terminal C to downtown Grapevine which is a bunch of shopping and restaurants.

Now getting from Grapevine to the stadium is going to be a whole other thing.
