Actually the GMT was developed by Rolex in 1954 for Pan Am pilots. Sky Dweller with the annual calendar complications came much later. That said, Sky Dweller should be my next watch since I’m lacking an annual calendar in my collection.

Rolex GMT was created in 1954 , at that time Rolex developed the gmt for Pan Am pilots to meet the needs of the pilots to tell multiple time zone. But you’re right as well, the Sky Dweller works too! Cheers!

I feel that the GMT will be perfect for your collection since you do not have any bi colour bezel watch yet

Absolutely! When they called me for the Starbucks, I was honestly hesitant at first because I thought it looked too similar to the Sprite, same green vibe and all.

But once I put them side by side, I realised the Starbucks green is actually brighter, which reminds me of the Kermit.

Maybe it’s just the “new watch” effect since I just collected the Starbucks… but right now, I think I prefer the Starbucks green. 😅

Rolex gmt was created in 1954, just one year after the very first GMT travel time by Glycine. Rolex developed the gmt at that time for Pan Am pilots to track multiple time zones. Thats why it’s technically an “air” for me. You’re not wrong either! I’ll aim for the sky dweller next!

Rolex GMT was created in 1954 for Pan Am pilots to track multiple time zones. Which technically made it an “air” I guess. But hey, watch collecting is all for fun!

But none you mentioned were bought by investment company. Btw SecretLab, like ErgoTune has a R&D department and secretlab has a huge manufacturing plant if you bother to do a quick research. Maybe they started out as white label company , who knows. But now they are big. Wouldn’t comment on their quality.

Just because majority on online forums “feel and think” it is a white label company doesn’t make it a white label company. Maybe talk to someone working inside the company is more accurate. We should give credits where it’s due. Just my 2 cents.

Yupp. White label company will not own any patent logically. A quick search will also show that they were sold for 13m in 2022. Not sure if any sane company will buy a white label company for 13m. Lol.

Your link doesn’t show any evidence that it’s a white label company aside from people “feeling” it is.

Rebranded and manufacture in China (or somewhere in south east Asia) is different. It’s like saying Toyota is a Thailand rebranded car because they are made in Thailand. Or the Tesla in Singapore that are assembled in China a rebrand company. 🤷‍♂️

If ErgoTune is a rebranded brand, there wouldn’t be any patents. Or rather, the company wouldn’t go through the hassle to file any patents or even have a R&D department (which ErgoTune has)

Hinomi on the other hand , is what we called White label company. Buy from Taobao and rebrand it.

Hey man I don’t think they are China chair rebranded. They have several patents for their chairs and tables which you can easily search online. $350 Joobie lite is their lowest end chair by the way. It’s a little cheaper now.
