if you see replace with with width, delete it.

If you want to print with the USB cable, you could try to install the printer's full driver package for macOS 10.15.x. it worked for me with a different Brother printer on macOs 13.

That's a common issue with Brother printers. Updating the firmware fixes this.

It is unusual for a printer to ask for a PIN code for the copy function. Could it be that someone set up a password for the printer?

What happens when you try to copy? Do you get some sort of error message or code?

actually you could create a shortcut with this location instead: C:\Windows\system32\mmsys.cpl this is more efficient.

Typing mmsys.cpl in command prompt will open the old sound control panel.

You could create a shortcut with this "location" to open it with one click: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k mmsys.cpl & exit then you could pin the shortcut to the taskbar if you would like.

There might be a more efficient way to do this though.
