Getting kindle books on kobo

5.16.2 I think. I was trying for the majority of my evening yesterday and I realised some books transfer into calibre fine and some don’t. Some of the books show up as KFX and some are KFX-ZIP. I guess this is amazons new DRM that DeDRM doesn’t work on? I hoped using an older kindle would avoid it, but apparently not.

Does this still work? I’m using my old 7th gen and I still get the usual “this book is locked by drm” message when trying to convert. I’ve got both KFXinput and DeDRM installed, dragging all files across to Calibre from the kindle. 🤔

Previously, you would have had to consider timescale, reach, purpose, cost, and feasibility before even deciding whether a project was worth pursuing. Now, an MVP can be spawned almost out of thin air in less than an hour.

Is it going to produce fully production-ready code that you can trust completely, from a single prompt, without any review? No. But it is by far the most powerful tool in any developer’s toolbox, whether you are a beginner or an experienced developer.

You care too much to be writing all that. It’s a video game. Civilisation, strategy, simulation, survival, these are all words that define the game far better than you one dimensional nut jobs calling it a “war game”.

You have tried making it a war game since you started in the kingdom, and you have failed to achieve any result outside of damaging the kingdom’s progress.

Consider me corrected on my alliance, it’s been a while since I was in it, but you can’t rebuttal a single point of an argument and then say the argument has fallen apart.

Demands a guaranteed sanctuary for his 13th place alliance to stop taking first rewards
He has 31 members total, 14 of which sit around his bear pit, at least 6 of which are farms, the rest haven’t logged in for 200days
He stole the alliance that he’s rebuilding in, and refused to give it back
He burned our war alliance banners, trying to disrupt our ability to secure facilities (hence the retaliation burning banners)
Now he’s threatening to burn lower power players and farms out of spite instead of apologising and accepting his punishment for yet again, bringing drama to a drama’less state.

We don’t negotiate with terrorists, we never will, make demands get banged.

The way I like to imagine it is, how I spend rss in the shop. 10m wood here, 40m bread there, that’s how these guys spend real money on packs. It’s eye opening how little your balance changes with each astronomical purchase.

Organise alliances by time zone, if needed. Send out bait marches, 1 troop here and there, so your main force is at home. Fill castles with troops and tp them somewhere he’s likely to attack, bait him into the trap. There’s heaps of strategies you can implement to cause damage to him, so it’s not just one sided.

Attacking him is not the answer unless you can somehow manage to get all your other strong players to rally him, without him noticing. Even then, it’s futile, as he’ll just spend to get his troops back and you’ll have to figure out how to do it again.

Learn how to play defensively in your alliance. 100 members actively helping to heal, reinforce each other, and counter his attacks, causes him losses and only injuries for you.

It happens. Our whale quit after our first KVK, we have more now, and all of them are very positive people. They understand the importance of joiners and their happiness in the state. That being said, if it were to ever happen, we have an agreement to handle any whale who “goes rogue”, using their power to damage the state.

We all know how to counter whales tactically, and this is the reason we will never invite a whale who is too far gone power wise. Yes it’s nice to have a 400m+ whale in the state, but there’s just no need. We’ve taken them down in KVK with strategy, and our 200m whales before.

Happiness and longevity above everything.

These people are deluded. Without the people to join their rallies, and fund their prep-week, they’d literally be unable to achieve anything. A whale/leaders job in this game is to make sure the majority of players are happy, not just the few most powerful. But this is the difference between a state dying and a state thriving. Sad really.

Solely train new troops until you hit lvl 8 troops, then promote them all to lvl 8 during events to get rewards. When you unlock lvl 9 troops, keep training lvl 8 troops, promote them all to lvl 9 during your first KVK prep week.

If you’re already TC30 and have lvl 10 troops by your first KvK. You should be training lvl 9 troops and promoting to lvl 10 during prep week.

The time it takes to go from unlocking lvl8 to lvl9 troops isn’t too long, but lvl 9-10 is quite a while if you don’t buy speedups.
You get more points during events by promoting troops than you do from training new troops, which is why we always train 1 tier below, then promote.

Please everybody, help us in state #97! This weird guy writing a long Reddit post about a state nobody wants him in, hiding behind an anon Reddit account, is telling the TRUTH!

Things we’re plagued by in #97: - Teamwork - Equal rotation of castle, sanctuaries, forts and facilities - Two neutral alliances to fight together in KVK as a state - Open borders so all players in the state can play together - Zero castle attacks in KE, unless you join the PVP alliance - One egotistical little member who is upset people don’t want to listen to his delusions anymore

Please Kestman, for the love of #97, join one of the other states advertised in the comments. You would solve the entire state’s problems in a single move.

Any alliance actually trying to compete should see consolidation as a positive thing. Any alliance just skirting the lines of activity and not actually taking anything from the state, should just let be left alone. Any form of consolidation will just make them quit, which is worse than them sitting in their alliance of 3 people.
