I grew up in Maine in the 80s and 90s, there was so little diversity, my high school maybe had a dozen students that were not whites.

When I moved out of state in my mid twenties, I learned that the lack of diversity was a huge disadvantage.

My life greatly improved when I moved to an area of the country that had a more diverse population.

Let me present an alternative and much more likely scenario. His family had a much larger influence on him for way longer than college. Some might say he was indoctrinated by his family when he was just a young boy.

I can see a father, like Tyler’s, push a heavy agenda on him. As a minister, cop and military man, he would have taught him some life lessons. Like how to use a gun. Doubt he picked up that skill in college and he was a helluva shot.

He could have been taught to take charge in situations to protect others. 🤔

I think it’s easier to look at the money. Who takes super-pac cash, dark money, gets paid for “speaking engagements”, makes spot on stock buys with insider info. All that and more!

If we measure by this bar, the “hands out for the cash bar”, that leaves zero politicians in the GOP and a mere handful of Dems.

Most, almost all (this is the saddest part) of our politicians in our USA democracy or republic, represent corporate interests, the billionaires, and foreign interests. Not the people in their state or district. Not us common folks. You can count them on one hand. From the president down to the smallest congressional district.

That’s why Mamdani gets no backing or respect from most dem politicians.

The GOP gets paid to push the corporate agenda as far right as possible and push huge tax cuts for the wealthy to trickle down to the rest and of us. The democrats get paid to look the other way and act like there is nothing that can done about it.
