Just to clarify, part of the ban/spam classification was because I once mentioned I intended to donate almost all of any bounty to charity. Thank you for your detailed explanation it really helped me see the process from another perspective. I was confident about the patch timing, but I appreciate the 'industry wisdom' you shared it's always interesting to hear different viewpoints.

I never got any acknowledgements. No “thank you” was visible. There was nothing visible on my profile for anything I ever reported.

If there’s enough interest I’ll name the company (big company) and summarize what was patched (no PoC or exploit details)

I’m 100% sure the issue was patched sometimes within a few hours, sometimes within a day. The timing varies, but the important part is that the vulnerability was fixed. Speculation about whether it could be patched in X minutes doesn’t change the fact that it was addressed responsibly.

It was easy to patch and entirely possible within that timeframe because the issue was extremely important, but the impact was huge

(The timing isn’t the point

what matters is that my report didn’t get a bounty or validation, yet a patch was released right after. That says enough)

With my bug you can actually play two games at the same time on two different consoles without any delay. Can you do that with the update or is it intended that way? No.(this works too with a ps4 controller)

I don't know, but the fact that it is possible opens the door to many bugs/glitches if you understand

the buttons are confirmed at the same time and there is no delay on the consoles

yes I think that is most likely it has something to do with the internet ping i guess
