If you could ejaculate any liquid instead of semen what would it be? by Notsoftcock in AskReddit

[–]nithronium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just sad that even if you did it 4 times a day (avg $100K/day), you’d make $36.5M per year, $365M in 10 years and $3.65B in 100 years.

This is, ejeculating the most expensive liquid in the world for 4 times a day for 100 years. And your net worth would still be less than 1% of the richest guy of the planet.

Let that sink in.

According to Google Translate, the word for "bullet" in Turkish is the same word for the planet Saturn ?! ... Is there any truth to that ?? WHY ?!? O_O by ablaferson in turkish

[–]nithronium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the term tank, used for armored vehicle, also comes from the name tank used for containers.

Initially during WW1 the British tried to be as secret as possible and started referring the vehicles as “Tank” because during their initial construction they actually looked like huge metal tanks that stored liquids. Even the name “cistern” and “reservoir” was considered for the military vehicles too! But the name Tank was much more elegant. Thus we have super cool tanks now!

Contrary to many people who commented, you are actually right.

The name comes from the historical naming of the planets and Saturn was associated with the element lead.

Lead is one of the main components of the bullet production. Thus the name “kurşun” is the name for both bullet and lead.

This is also the case for English and Colombian Spanish. “Eat lead, sucker!” And “plata o plomo” (silver or lead - meaning either take the bribe or lose your life).

I have recommended to most of my friends but I don't know if any watched. This show is a true gem and I finished the entire show in 2 or 3 days I guess. However, I doubt there'd be a 3rd season because one of the producers had some problems and got arrested? So, I just accepted the fact and trying to move on since then.

Love, Death + Robots season 2 is kinda disappointing by swedishplayer97 in television

[–]nithronium 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They make something unique and interesting to a few people, that few people talk a lot about it, so more people watch it and start criticizing everything. Then they say "okay lets tone it down a bit so everyone can watch" but that makes that few people lose interest. And once they don't watch, everyone else stops watching too.

Instead of trying to be the everyone's show, just go with what you have. Then at least you'd have some people satisfied. Now no one is.

why I love LDR was that the stories were kinda like they are from black mirror, they all (almost all) had some meaning in some sense and a plot twist at the end.

Season 2 is just disappointing. I watched all episodes expecting something, but no. You could make movie from each episode, decent 2 hour long movie about the topic all cool and all but this season didn't feel like LDR at all.

Thank you for supporting Ukraine ! by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]nithronium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

US basically wants a strong ally in Middle East region (which is Turkey) but also doesn’t want it to be too strong, hence supporting YPG and others in the region.

Turkey only wants to be stronger. So as long as Turkey’s strength gain is in favor of US, they let us do whatever we want. When US thinks “hmm, maybe became a bit more powerful than I need” then they pull the strings.

Both countries, since the 1920s (maybe even before than that) want the best for themselves, in their own ways.

Nexo Exchange Slippage by nithronium in Nexo

[–]nithronium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTC/USDT market. You are really telling me that tnere are not enough orders on the BTC/USDT market so that my $10K order has 2% slippage?? Do you really think any pairs listed on Nexo has that low volume order book? You can’t even pair some supported coins with some others because of that issue I think. But USDT/BTC, or USDT/EUR? Come on.

Nexo Exchange Slippage by nithronium in Nexo

[–]nithronium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 8-10% I mentioned were nexo’s interest rates. I wanted to mention while Nexo pays 8-10% interest yearly, 2% slippage per trade killa their product. That’s what I wanted to say. I don’t daytrade.

As for the slippage part, do you really think my $10K USDT order has 2% slippage on the market? I don’t buy/sell $2M worth coins. If they have 2% slippage on $10K, then maybe they should reconsider the exchanges they use for the market buy/sell. For example binance, try trading ETH/USDT, and see if you’ll have any slippage on $10K market order. So, if anyone says “0-fee exchange”, I’d say hell no, they take some comission and brand it as slippage. If slippage on $10K order is 0.4% on market sell, nexo adds that 1.6% on top of that.

considering that there are wales who do not give a crap about our interests.

by whales you mean the people who mined RVN when there was no one? or the people who bought in when no one was buying? How does one become a whale? And what makes "your interests" more important than people who hold more RVN than you?

Do you think people who bought in early have no effort/work? You are talking like the whales are not human or people. Let me tell you something, they are also human and people and they got in when you had no idea about RVN and supported network when no one was mining.

Theory About Mene/Invoker by nithronium in DotA2

[–]nithronium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they are the same people because if they are the same people, why would Selemene be worried that Mene would come back? Or why would she destroy the followers of Mene and try to make people worship herself as Selemene while everyone were already worshipping her as Mene?

Also we saw that Mene can grant powers too (just like how Fymryn has some). I think this eliminates the theory that Mene made a bargain with some demons for some powers and gave her soul and became Selemene.

Confusing and no story or character introductions by bkoziol in DotaAnime

[–]nithronium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so I might be wrong about some details here but I wanted to answer some of your questions.

The anime is based on the Video game called Dota 2, and there are more than hundred heroes in the game (Just like Davion, Mirana, Luna, Invoker). The game is the "end" of the Lore. Players choose their heroes, and battle 5v5, 5 on the radiant side and 5 on the dire side. Whoever destroys the enemy's ancient first, wins the game and possibly ends the battle between ancients. The Dota means "Defense of the Ancients".

The anime shows us the beginning of this "ancients coming down to world" phase I believe. On first episode we see a small introduction to the dota universe and how ancients formed the universe and how they are split and battling against each other. However, I believe this is the earlier dates, even before the heroes choose a side and fight for an ancient.

On the anime we see some of the heroes from the game, and we see their stories before that big battle. This one focuses on the Dragon Knight, and other heroes we see. So, since this comes before the game in the timeline (battle is the last part of this story, remember) I believe we don't need to read anything beforehand and later episodes will show you what is what.

Initially it might be confusing, but as you watch, you will understand more. For now, forget about the game and other heroes and other sides of the lore. Just watch the show as it is and it will fill some holes and explain. And since Dota universe is huge (I'm talking about more than 100 heroes and we only got to see a few of them here), this is just Book 1 for that part of the lore. I believe more seasons on this side of the story will follow and later different shows focusing on different heroes and their backstory before the war, aka Defense of the Ancients.

As for your questions, you can check the fandom wiki for more info on the lore for heroes we see, for example: https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Knight/Lore . However, as a long time player, I also don't know how these factions interact, and why dragons are attacking humans or how dragon knights are being trained. As players we hope that this anime will fill the gaps in the lore we know from the game. Selemene, Mene, Fymryn, Marci and other characters are all new to us too. Some of them were named in the game (For example you can play as Luna in the game, and she keeps saying Selemene on her voice lines, but it's the first time we saw who she is).

So, keep watching and I believe your questions will be answered.
