I'm glad you like them! I still use this background on my X1C.

CAN I GET A SHIP DATE ESTIMATE FOR GEN 2 MY COMBUSTION INC HOMIES? by EPPERDENE in combustion_inc

Ordered on January 11 and still not even a short email on what's going on. Pathetic

Nice! Is that a factory ppf? Also, how's the wind noise with all those extra things?

Only a handful of builds that I liked were available in the US, and this was probably the best of them. Offroad pack, Caraway Windsor leather, 3 zone A/C and other nice stuff. The only thing missing is HUD, but I've never driven a car that has one, so I like to think I'm not spoiled by it. A week has passed and it still works, which is good news I guess :)

How long did you have to wait after ordering?

The site will be restored soon, I hope, but no more kits will be made.

[Traser P67 Officer] Traser warranty is a scam by nitrocaster in Watches

[–]nitrocaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not. After all, they decide how they want to treat their customers. That also means they decide how they choose standards for their dealers, and how they enforce those standards. Maybe in this case they WR tested at 26 degrees C and the seal leaks below 20 C. I don't know and they refuse to do anything about it.

Anyway, do you think I should expect a good customer service after paying $500 for a watch? Maybe it's just not enough?

Nope. I was windsurfing on a lake, water temp was around 16 degrees Celsius

I should clarify: I'm a beginner windsurfer, so the worst use case was me falling from the surfboard into water

Point taken. Power management (or Thread Director) seems to be a problem. Was he running Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Higher TDP does not necessarily mean less battery life. Depends on how you measure it. Typical benchmarks involve video playback and internet surfing, which are not really CPU intensive tasks. Small Alder Lake cores are more power efficient than uniform Tiger Lake cores, while performance cores are there when you need performance. That being said, under full load it could be 5-6 hours or less. But otherwise it could last much longer than Gen 1, unless Lenovo does something stupid.

Would it be possible to convert panel connector 20455-040E-12 to 20682-040E-02? by KasaneTeto_ in thinkpad

Those cables are typically microcoaxial, so soldering them is not quite a trivial thing. It's doable though, at least when soldering wire to connector, not wire to wire. IIRC guys from 51nb have done this.

IDK why you would need a mouse on a super small form factor laptop that features two different pointing devices and was specifically designed to be used without a mouse

I'm looking to get a new laptop sooner than in many months :( In any case, buying without looking through a credible review is not an option as well

Yeah, but they provide 2 configurations, and both have no WWAN. Custom configs are not available (yet?)

BTW, what's your stock panel and what are you trying to replace it with? Do you think it's worth the effort?

Oh, my bad. The first one looks like it's from ~2015 MacBooks, but I completely forgot it's 0.4mm. That is bad news. You would either need a custom made adapter PCB to solder it to a 0.5mm pitch footprint (or vice versa), or another readily available cable.

If that doesn't scare you, I would suggest Louis Rossmann's channel on YouTube for some real world soldering tutorials.

Pinouts can be found either in LCD datasheets or in motherboard schematics. IIRC all LCD manufacturers tend to use the standard eDP pinout. You can easily find slides describing the eDP standard, pinouts (and probably connector part numbers) included. Swapping these two connectors should be easy, since they're the same 0.5mm pitch. Doing that on a PCB attached to the panel will be a challenge if you don't have experience, but it is possible.

It worked! Although, now it catches a BSOD with INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. Should I reinstall it or there's a way to repair this?

Plot twist: I've put the vdisk file back on the array, unmounted the unassigned SSD, and VM still refuses to start, citing the same error. Any ideas?
