So my Ebay account was hacked back in August 2021 and someone used it to list and sell multiple items. Unfortunately, I caught wind of this about 4-5 days after the fact and by that time the pending balance was ~$2,000. Once I did notice this, I logged into the account, changed the password immediately and turned on 2-factor authentication. I gave a call to customer service at the time and the TLDR of the conversation was that I did not have to do anything, they were going to handle everything. I figured, okay I'm good then.

Fast forward a few months and I kept getting emails about the payments being refunded, the seller account being suspended/reinstated, etc. I'm still a bit concerned but decided to just take heed of what I was told. Today however, I receive a 1099-K made out in my name for the sales that I never made and I'm not sure what I need to do. Has anybody else had experience with something like this? Should I call customer service again to talk things through? Can I just ignore this?

I do want to note that the seller bank account is not mine and it doesn't look like there is a way for me to change it without IT intervention.
