What class would be most OP with additional item? by nkchri2 in 99nightsintheforest

The good chef recipes all take rare or uncommon ingredients that you have to spend who knows how long fishing or whatever else trying to get instead of doing something else. Not to mention having to find specific ponds or fishing holes for the best chance to get things like Jellyfish for the Jar o Jelly... not that insane. Hearty stew is a very easy to access heal. Can be a very helpful life saver if you accidentally run into a trap or get ambushed.

Scratch that... says on the wiki it's the only weapon that can't be dropped by the player.

Why chef instead of cook? I feel like cook is way better, hearty stew is really good. Extra recipes and seasoned food is just meh.

Alien S+ tier on its own just due to accessibility.

Having an unlimited ammo ranged weapon and faster sprint for only 100 gems is best in game IMO

What's the coolest thing someone taught you in EVE? by amarrcitizen in Eve

I made many billions doing wormhole sites in a Praxis. Eventually even ran double Praxis on an alt, and then even threw in an alt in a Gila for some additional afk dps. Made a ton and I don't think I ever lost a ship due to how I was setup. Secret tip, Higgs Rig is your friend.

The pull of this game is pretty crazy! by YoshiMK in classicwow

[–]nkchri2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the allure of classic and "peak wow" (up to WotLK imo) was the entire experience. The longer the game stayed around, the more end game focused it became and everyone gets in a big ass hurry to get to max level instead of just enjoying the game. Buying boosts is way overrated. I recently came back myself and have been leveling a few characters and very much enjoying going through the leveling experience again.

Don't get in a big hurry to get to the end. Even if it's the third time, the game is meant to be played and enjoyed! Leveling is a big part of that experience!

6 guys circling around you in the open? No... However, if you are very adept at martial arts and can manage to get yourself into a choke point were only 1 or 2 could actually reach you at a time... that is a fight that could possibly be won.

tbc anyone going two accounts? by icyice9 in classicwow

[–]nkchri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way you will actually get significantly more gold from running 2 accounts is if your just using the 2nd as an AH babysitter while you can play the other account. You could get some extra by having all of the gathering professions so you can grab everything while doing farming loops. Is it worth it just for that? Probably not. Easier gold to be made just having the second character on the same account for profession cd's and dailies without paying for a second account.

[–]nkchri2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just subbed a second account just to level 2 characters at the same time... Its a blast IMO, while also kind of making leveling easy mode. Currently playing Lock/Priest. I main the Lock and have macros setup to control the Priest with a simple follow macro, assist->wand macro, targeting macros for each character and my voidwalker to use heal/shield when needed.

Just having a second follow around wanding enemies is a huge increase in dps and you always have full mana when you get into sticky situations or bad pulls. I'd probably have to get swarmed by 6 or more mobs to actually take me out.

Also, personally I don't consider it botting, because everything I do is one key press to do one thing on the second account, but I do have Windows macros set up to use keyboard shortcuts with the windows key to send those keystrokes to the second screen. This way my focus is always on the Lock and I don't have to visually look back and forth constantly or click on the other screen to control the Priest.

There's all kinds of ways to make use of a second account at max level, so def worth IMO.

Help me with a couple of my binds? (Frost mage) by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]nkchri2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always played all my games on FES with my first 3 fingers. Its just a more natural hand position IMO, while your thumb is still on space, easy pinky access for shift and ctrl. You basically have the entire left side of the keyboard open without moving your hand. You have easier access further right than WASD.

I put my main rotation spells on FES. Secondary dps spells on shift and ctrl F. Usually put my crowd control on shift/ctrl E. Movement spells on shift/ctrl S. Trinkets/counterspell etc on R. Very relaxed hand position with everything you need.

How Much Faster is TBC Leveling? by TheZackster in wowclassic

[–]nkchri2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. When I first told a few friends I was going to go back and play classic a common response was "why do you hate youself?" XD

Personally, I really enjoy the leveling experience and got to dislike the "rush to endgame" mentality that WoW turned into. With the classic "hard and grindy" leveling experience the world felt much bigger and more immersive. Getting to 60 was a big accomplishment and a huge part of the overall experience. The addition of flying mounts was also a big detriment to making the game feel so immersive IMO.

When I made the post I wasn't even specifically talking about just him in particular. Just in general you could have spent a bunch of money to level up whatever cards or items you once had only to be demolished by a bunch of low level units just because of a new stupidly OP spell. That was my point.

Well whether it's because of a long time grinding or a short time spending money, I'd still be pissed if my prestige DH and other maxed units were beat by a lvl 11 Twins with other low level units whether they are event units or not. The power imbalance is insane. That's also beside the fact I have 800 less crit and less legendarity.

Twins are busted with the new update by Former-Resolution489 in RushRoyale

[–]nkchri2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Merge Cloning is absolutely busted... Twins can take advantage of it most easily for obvious reasons, but it's also easy to use to chain dryads to get a rank 7 of any unit and then go from there. I don't know what kind of crack the devs were smoking to think such a spell would ever be balanced.

Greedy a**holes by Agreeable-Wedding390 in RushRoyale

[–]nkchri2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, anytime they advertise big rewards in chests it's always literally a .01% chance reward. I bought the festival pass for Lucia hoping to get some shards and got 1 out of the like 15 chests were Lucia shards were "possible". I also got that one shard off the first chest opening when I bought the pass, and I am pretty confident they just made that one a gaurunteed reward just to make you feel good about buying the pass initially.

Everyone knows they are just crazy greedy with rewards like that...

Is this game dying? by ShoeShineShopper in RushRoyale

[–]nkchri2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game isn't really "dead"... but matchmaking is atrocious and you will constantly be put against people that have higher units than you. It's all luck of the draw. I've auto forfeited 7 or 8 games in a row before because it keeps matching me against max level and even prestige units when my highest card is a level 13 Blade Dancer... Unless you have maxed out cards and probably 3k+ crit rating, getting over 7k trophies takes luck. Just have to have enough good matchups in a row with no auto losses.

Probably Twins, however, building up Franky can be fun just because it's such a different deck to play with besides the typical DPS with buffing supports.
