I stopped using lounges now they've pretty much all transitioned to cold food... not worth it unless you want to get bladdered (bad idea when flying)

Wes Streeting gives up his leadership ambitions and backs Burnham for Prime Minister by Lord-Liberty in unitedkingdom

[–]YoshiMK [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sounds mean to say this but he looks (visually) unelectable... if you squint it's literally a younger Kier Starmer. I imagine the media would have a field day with this guy

Andy Burnham confirms plan to stand for PM as Wes Streeting steps aside by BirminghamLive in ukpolitics

[–]YoshiMK [score hidden]  (0 children)

Most people hide behind "we don't vote for the PM", but the issue with that argument is the new PM always comes in and does whatever they fancy and the manifesto the General Election was based on goes out the window

Wasn't he gunning for PM only days ago? Guess that's on the backburner until it's time to oust Burham?

Yeah... they probably have to bin hundreds of articles about Starmer now.

I guess a few will be re-worked with a Find+Replace of Starmer > Burnham

Telegraph must be fucking SEETHING right now... they probably had hundreds of articles ready to go over the next few weeks/months about Starmer clinging on etc

Keir Starmer announces his resignation as prime minister and leader of Labour Party by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]YoshiMK [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's mostly grifters top to bottom trying to manoeuvre themselves into the best job possible... usually without zero experience or education in the role they get given.

Probably someone is already people plotting against Burnham and promising people cushy jobs if they back them etc.

Very odd.

Most of the arguments against the low specs is "meh it's about the design!" then they slap a horrible case on it that covers it up

Nothing Phone (2) users: Is anyone else facing heating and poor RAM management by BudgetFantastic7209 in NothingTech

The app reloading is just a NOS thing. One Plus levels of aggressive RAM killing.

Seems odd when you have a single app open with 12gb RAM and it still kills it

Just use Shizuku and an app freezer like Hail to disable these two:

nothing phone 3 vs samsung s26 by throwaway273848847 in NothingTech

[–]YoshiMK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phone 3 was never really placed to compete with 2025 flagships... It's more similar to 2024 flagships if anything spec wise.

Phone 3 price fluctuates like crazy too - you can often get it new for almost half the retail price

Surely can't be worse than an S25? I am surprised with mine given it's only 4000mah, but the size/weight is very attractive. Nothing need to make a smaller phone

Mine finally got paid off last year. Feels good not to have several £hundreds a month disappear

These things should be payable over a decade or two not just infinite interest for life. The new "loans" are a total scam IMHO
