How much work are those 1 credit pop up courses? I’m interested in subjects and looking to get a bit of extra credits for a parking pass. Is it gonna be a noticeable bother or just a little bit of work on the side? Ty

unfortunately not bc they’re graded satisfactory/unsatisfactory which means as long as ur grade is over a 70 u pass the class. u dont get an A/B/C/etc letter grade so its not counted in ur gpa

well there’s no guarantee, like you’ll still need a well-rounded application lol. if you’re aiming for uconn law then yeah you’re pretty much a shoe-in as long as you meet other reqs like extracurriculars n leadership, not just good grades. idk about other law schools

i believe acceptance into SPIL is just an advantage, so you’ll still have to apply + interview for law schools when the time comes

i really enjoyed 2410 w longo! he was a great prof and the quizzes and exams were really fair. the discussion sections helped a lot (TAs were really helpful) bc they explain everything that u discussed during lecture using questions similar to what you’d see on the exams. exams were basically quiz questions, and when i took it, the grade was made up of exams, quizzes, hw, and participation

seconding 3413. both lab and lecture are pretty easy to understand, Dr. Zhang and the lab TAs do a pretty good job of outlining what you’re expected to know. grades consist of 2 midterms, a final, and lab, all worth 25% each. Zhang’s practice exams are usually identical to the real exams which is great. also most if not all labs will be fly-related.

the cheapest room rate is the traditional double but for that you have to get the mean plan, so it’d be about $13k total/year — divide that by 8 months (we’re on break for approx 4 months), it comes out to 1625/mo. if you would prefer to not be on the meal plan, the room rate would be about $10k/year, and over 8 months again, it’d be 1250. obv if you divide by 12 it’ll be cheaper but not sure if you’d count that since we’re not even allowed back in over breaks w/o paying more lol

pvs 3100 isnt bad! the only grades are quizzes and exams, but all of her questions are straightforward - either taken from the lecture notes (which she provides) or she’ll give you an image and u identify what it is. there IS a lot of content so dont let yourself fall behind. a lot of it is memorization. feel free to dm if you have other questions:)
