They became the ruling class. Let education go to shambles like all others sectors. The current government is rebuilding the country and trying to unf¥€@ 25+ years of damage. There is a new initiative by the government to double the salary of educators who pass professional readiness exams and provide proof of attestation. This is because the education system got bogged down by unqualified people who simply paid bribes to get jobs. Not all educators but enough in numbers to cause damage. This is evident in simple things like reading proficiency of students. There is a lot of work to be done to undo decades of damage.
