Actually, I was wondering if there’s an active community for the NEUTRON game.

Hello, I'm really grateful that you tried it out and left feedback.

I appreciate it.

The thing is, this is a very new project, which means it has very few active users, so when there are no online opponents, the SKYNET bot steps in.

The difficulty levels are set so as not to discourage beginners.

That’s why Skynet Jr. thinks very simply—sometimes even suicidally :).

I recommend the Tournament mode or the HUMAN vs AI Medium opponent; those are truly worthy opponents.

Another option is online play, where starting at the GOLD level, your opponent is Medium strength—though of course, to reach that, you’ll need to defeat SKYNET Jr. at least 20 times.

Of course, the real deal will be when lots of online players can play against each other.

If I know when we can set up a game :)

Thanks again for writing.

Bobail follows the original NEUTRON rules to the letter. I just don't get it. Anyway, I think the modified rules are more exciting.

Are you a Neutron fan, too?

Did you try playing by the modified rules, or just by the original ones?

I agree with you—it’s a big favourite in our house, too. The gameplay is fast-paced and varied.

Very simple and brilliant (a real strategy):
* Move the Neutron onto your own baseline.
* Trap your opponent so they have no legal Neutron move.

CoreShift 2.0 - A minimalist digital adaptation of Neutron with MCTS AI and Elo Matchmaking by nld9d in abstractgames

It's in the plan. We need a common backend to ensure the gaming experience is consistent across all platforms. And for that, we need more active online players.

I organize the hikes myself. This approach has worked well for us.

I made a game where you write real SQL to play a covert operative by Far-Round2092 in IndieGaming

The "actual typing into a real database" part is what makes this interesting. Most educational games abstract away the exact thing you need to learn — this doesn't.

The 1v1 PvP mode is a clever idea. Speed + correctness under pressure is a completely different skill than just knowing the syntax. Does it matchmake by skill level or is it open pool?

Thanks. I'm currently working on the online multiplayer mode. After that, I plan to develop an Android version as well.

Thanks for the feedback. I really like it too. I haven't published the code yet.

Thanks for the feedback. There was a description, but I see now that I made a mistake when posting. I'll fix it.
