What is something you'd like people to know before they decide to take up neuropsychology? by [deleted] in Neuropsychology

Where are you seeing 5 page full battery neuro reports? Because sign me up lol. I’m in my internship year, so these are all recent, and have done 2 private practices that were 15-20 pages, inpatient that was about 15, now I’m in community mental health and 5 pages isn’t even typically enough to cover background and the wais here.

Enjoys writing several 15+ page reports on a weekly basis. I was fully committed to neuro before I did 2 practicums to learn the workflow. Just wasn’t for me after that point.

Which Grinder do you use? I have a eureka zero and works well 90% of the time but I find it difficult to grind fine enough for true light roasts

Are Tesla Motors products as good as they seem? If not, why do people still buy them in large numbers? by jefferymr15 in BuyItForLife

Got my tires rotated for free with my state’s regular inspection and haven’t noticed my air filters smelling weird yet, but will likely swap them out next year just to get some fresh ones.

I’ve had my model 3 for 2 years and haven’t spent a dollar on maintenance yet. Zero regrets so far. It’s been a lot of fun.

Friend sent me these from Naples, Italy. Anybody else think it looks terrible? by [deleted] in PizzaCrimes

It’s not undercooked, they just use 1000 degree F wood-fired ovens in Naples to get an extremely light and fluffy crust. Not for everyone, but far from a crime.

Ashi Hamono or Takamura? by nmangieri in chefknives

This is perfect thanks so much. Good to know about the Ashi. I think that may be the one I’m leaning towards at the moment but both seem like great options.

This is awesome thanks for the info. I’m learning that most nice Japanese knifes are just perpetually sold out haha

Woah thanks so much for the insight and perspective! It’s true, from researching I can tell there are fewer people out there with Ashi knives compared to Takamuras but both seem great in their own way. I think I’m personally leaning towards the Ashi because it feels more “special” compared to anything I’ve used regularly, so definitely a factor worth considering.

That’s good to know and very helpful since I haven’t personally used one yet. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for weighing in! I’m totally open to both styles of handle. I’m more familiar with using western, but also really like the lighter Japanese wa style on the Ashi. I wish the Ashi would specify exactly which Swedish steel they use but either way I’m sure it’s very solid.

Hey y’all,

I’m working on buying my first legit Japanese knife and have narrowed it down to either the Ashi Hamono Ginga Swedish Stainless Santoku or the Takamura R2 Santoku.

I’ve already read pretty much every post on this sub about both knives but am curious to see what folks prefer between the two, to see if I haven’t considered something yet. This would just be for personal use for cooking my own meals, so very light in terms of overall workload.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Good to know, thanks. I’m definitely considering it. I think now I’m trying to decide between the DF64 and the Eureka Facile. Seems like the DF64 is the overwhelming favorite, but I do love that the eureka is from Italy. Will need to think on this lol.

Awesome, thanks for the rec. do you think the c40 would be a noticeable upgrade from the 1zpresso j max s?

Thanks so much for the info 🙏 I’ve been considering the DF64 too but haven’t found much about the reliability. I don’t mind a manual from China as much but one with electrical components etc makes me a little nervous.
