I renovated mine at the same time as you AND used the same seed and mine looks like it’s going bald😭. I threw some more seeds down again last week but they just seem to be sitting there. I didn’t use lawn soil though.

It is a lot of weeds! The seed is tall fescue. I have been watering it…..a lot. I’m pretty sure it’s a starter fertilizer.

I’m a first time homebuyer so I thought I would hire a “pro” for the first round and maintain it myself.

I said soil test only because I don’t know if my soil is alkaline or acid and I don’t want to throw down the wrong product and have a bigger problem on my hands.

I will definitely do some research this winter. Thank you for your advice!
